Tennesee State Thread

did this numerous times throughout the year.. mainly on the road.

Won good money @cincy, @tcu, and even took Tech ML at home.
I really wanted to do this when we were up big against AZ last week. Unfortunately, I was in Utah, and they have so much freedom there, I was unable.

I mean, what else is he going to say. I think that's the approach you have to take when you're outmatched. We shouldn't even come remotely close to losing but we absolutely have some flaws and are not invincible.

Edit: I just mean I don't think that is any kind of motivational or bulletin board material. He's not saying anything negative about our team.

Yeah, he's trying to give his team some confidence. Not a big deal.

I don’t disagree. No ill will intended. But it still doesn’t mean you don’t use it. Unless you’re 100% sure our guys are coming out snorting fire the next 6 games and not taking anything for granted.

My takeaway is that he's a culture guy. These guys probably don't match up well, but it could be competitive game for 20 minutes. They won't roll over for us
I’m with ya. And I’d say that teams at this level shouldn’t need manufactured bulletin board material to get up for any game. But then I think about Cincinnati…

Tennessee State is an excellent free throw shooting team if you send to the line a lot. I saw one game they shot like 36 of 41.
They were .681 on the season. ISU shot .672. For reference TSU's .681 would slot them in tied for 14th in the Big 12 conference.

The difference between .681 and .672 is less than one make per 100 attempts. So it is much less than one make in your average NCAA 18-20 attempt game.

Not so hot take: UC is better and would be a better tourney fit than many of the at-larges.

ISU was not good that day and every team is going to have off days or weeks but Cinci was a capable team with poor coaching imo.
