Survivor: David vs Goliath

Dan used an idol to save Angelina, and lost an ally. I laughed hard at that. "Dan, please, please Dan." My word was that uncomfortable, they are in trouble for keeping Angelina around this long.

I've disliked Angelina from the first few minutes of this season. I'd have to go back and re-watch it but I remember her making some snotty remark during the first impressions part and first thing I thought was if you have that kind of attitude on this show you won't last long. You know what would have been funny is last week Elizabeth made a comment how she said it sucks being voted out because now she has to sit next to Natalie at the reunion show. Well imagine how much more it would have sucked to have her and Angelina on both sides of you!

I liked John more than I thought I would at first. Thought he'd be a little over the top and act too macho because of his pro wrestling background but he actually blended right in. He was an obviously physical threat going forward and had played a pretty good social game too so that was a good blindside and also created some more fracture with the Angelina drama. See has such a selfish and entitled personality because she makes everything all about her and was doing that once again last night when she was making the claim it was her idea to vote out Christian. Could be some good drama the night she is finally voted out because probably will not go quietly.

Usually they go 2-3 seasons between "bring people back" seasons so it wouldn't surprise me if the spring season involves former contestants.

Some people I'd like to see back from the last few seasons:

Cydney (Brains vs. Braun vs. Beauty)
David (Millennials vs. Gen X)
Jay (MvGX)
Michelle (MvGX)
Joe (Heroes vs. Healers vs. Hustlers)
Mike (HvHvH)
Ali (HvHvH)
Laurel (Ghost Island)
Libby (GI)
Michael (GI)
Domenick (GI)

and from the current season:
Christian
John
Alison

I like nerds. I think Gabby is smoking hot. That is all.

Unless she rides someone's coattail to the final I don't know how much longer she lasts because she hasn't really been one of the people too involved in the strategy talk I think. Too emotional and doesn't seem to have a lot of relationships outside of Christian right now. It's like a rollercoaster with her, one minute she is panicked and crying that her or one of the David's might be going home then the next minute someone talks some sense into her to keep to together for a bit.

To be honest this season's females have been kinda "meh" for looks compared to some seasons. I think we've had some discussions in the past about who have been the hottest women on Survivor so not opening that can of worms right now unless someone else wants to go down that path...

Oh I don't think she's going to win. But she will be my second wife. And we all know that makes her THE WINNER.

That's because they all were on big brother

Epic blindside this week with Dan. David's played that one perfectly once again and the game should get much more interesting going forward now. Alison, Kara, and Alec keep saying they want to make a big move but the big move was flipping this vote or last. That David tribe has really bonded over these last 3 votes knowing they can outwit the Goliaths even when they were down numbers. Now those 3 have little to no trust with the Davids so it's going to be challenging to get in a tight nit alliance now. I can actually see someone like Angelina or Mike trying to weasel their way into be a flip vote because Angelina knows she is on the bottom of the Goliath alliance and Mike is probably next after her. Both have not really tried to buddy up with the David tribe much so far so I could see the 2 of them scheming to get Alison and Kara out next.

That was the most entertaining tribal to watch unfold so far this season. They played everything perfectly and still have an idol on their side.

YES CARL IS GONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I hope Angelina goes next. She might have made my top 5 hated females on survivor.

Previews from next week are crazy. Why would she turn on Christian. Starting to think she has been acting like a weak person this whole time when she is not.

if Christian gets to the end, he'll win no matter who he goes up against so he needs taken out. That said, it's too early for her to make this move, it's not like he's a huge threat to win 4-5 straight immunity idol competitions.

ever since the merge, people have been one or two votes too quick to try and blindside someone in their alliance.

These people are trying to hard to play the game and turning on people to quick. They have been doing it since the start. I get that you eventually want to get out strong players. However, just kicking someone off to show you made a game move is not a smart move with so much time left. Especially since you now seem like you are the person making the moves in a game full of people looking to get out people making moves.

Alec was the right vote the first tribal for sure. Had they left him around he is the kind that could go on a run on immunity challenges and make it to the end. I'm not sure Carl was the right vote but I get why they did it. He was drunk on power but also he'd be an easy vote out later because he's not been good in challenges and I don't think too many liked him anyways. After all the years of watching this show the 1 thing I never get is why you mess with numbers when they are on your side even if it means keeping someone annoying around a bit longer. Had they not voted out Alec they would have tipped things back into favor of the goliaths but I think keeping Carl around a bit longer both numbers and strategically made more sense because he's basically doing your dirty work of picking who goes then you just get rid of him in another vote or 2 down the line.

Angelina is still annoying but I have a feeling she may make it to the final 3 now because no one respects the game she is playing so she may just weasel her way there by kissing enough ass and someone being smart enough to know keeping her around that she'll be a loyal vote and makes for an easy person for you to beat in the end. Gabby kind of annoyed me this week. Got her usual rollercoaster of emotions but the part that stood out for me was when she was crying to Christian about Carl not including her in the vote discussions. I thought about it for a moment and other than Christian who has she really talked strategy with much that we've seen in the edits? You can't whine about not being included in strategy talk when you basically only talk strategy with 1 person. I can't think of any other moments but looks like she may finally have figured that out by the looks of the preview for next week when she is talking about blindsiding Christian. If she can pull that off she'd probably get a lot of credibility with the jury if she can finish out strong and make the final 3. But I just wonder without Christian having her back and keeping her emotions in check if she will be able to keep it together or if she would have one of her melt downs that people just say the heck with her she can't keep it together and vote her out. I will say she has been a big surprise as she has hung in there on challenges but I still question if she can keep it together emotionally long enough to make it to the end. I don't think she would have made it this far without Christian keeping her somewhat stable emotionally and keeping her in a safe alliance which is another reason why Christian would beat her if they both made the final 3.

My daughter and I were saying the same thing. Sure Carl is annoying but it's 10 or so more days. Keep him around 2 more votes and get to a 5-2 lead and then vote him out. It's a million dollars. Even then keep him till the final three if he has annoyed that many people and they won't vote for him. I think the first vote was correct also. That guy was a stud in challenges.

To some point yes but I think the remaining Goliath players didn't turn quick enough. Alec, Allison, and Mike all kept trying to play both sides after the merge and kept talking about needing to make a big move but 3 times in a row stuck with the Goliaths and now they are on the chopping block because the Davids don't trust them because of that. The David players have worked so well together to flip the script when they were down numbers and to me I'd rather work with the people who have been loyal and got you this far than the unknown who has told you things multiple votes but never followed through on their word. There will be a time you can pick off threats within your own alliance but I think everyone but Angelina of the remaining Goliaths you have to see as a threat right now because they are desperate to stay in the game down on numbers and will do anything at this point to stay in it.

BTW Davie the black guy is suddenly coming on really strong and getting a Survivor finalist Edit. That's what they refer to it when they suddenly get down to about 10 people and start concentrating on different contestants more than others. He has play a good social game so far and is playing a pretty good game in the other areas as well.

Also have to remember that Davie, Christian, and Nick all have hidden immunity idols right now too. That just made me think that Gabby will have to really be sneaky if she wants to blindside Christian because he's smart enough that if he has any clue something is up he'll play his idol. I could see Angelina blowing up Gabby's plan to blindside Christian because she can't keep her mouth shut about anything and Gabby surely will need all 4 of the girls plus a vote like Mike to pull it off so there is a good chance one of the Goliaths would blab her plan to him in order to pull some favor and further their game. Right now I wouldn't put it past any Goliath players left to do that because none really have much of an alliance left and causing some chaos may be their route to picking off a couple Davids and aligning themselves with a stronger player to get to the end.

Great blindside of Gabby this week. Was a little confused why Davie voted for Christian when he made a comment that he needed him around to keep himself safe. The way the votes went with Christian voting for Alison and the 2 Gabby votes coming from Mike and Angelina makes me think those 2 got played by someone based on how they looked at each other after the votes were read. I really don't know how either has a chance to win, they are basically just swing votes for the David players playing the game right now and aren't making any of the strategic moves at this point.

Christian is a strong and smart player but without immunity and an idol now I'm not sure how much longer he lasts. Nick probably has become my favorite player and Davie is starting to grow on me a little too. I don't blame them for turning on Christian either for not including them on the Carl vote. I've said it here and Nick pointed it out too that when you get the numbers in your favor you don't mess with that. Carl would have been an easy vote off down the line. That decision could be what put the biggest target on his back now. I just hope that the remaining Davids play it smart and get Alison out next now that they have voted 2 of their own out and given her a crack to stay in.
