The best player of the season doesn't always win. Charlie losing to Kenzie two seasons ago is still criminal

I tuned out after that season. Kenzie was not even a top 10 player that year. The juror that decided their vote based on who deserved the money the most cinched it for me. Are we playing a competitive game or running a charity?

Last night I came to the realization I am sick of this show. I am over all of the feel good, lovey-dovey stories they do now. Everyone on the show has a story and it has made the show boring. I miss the villains and bad guys that used to be on this show, they made it fun. Would Tyson, Jerri, Sandra, Coach, Johnny Fairplay, etc. even be cast on the current version of this show?
Anybody with even an ounce of that type of blood was booted pre-merge this season.

Which is why I thought this season started very strongly, but has gone downhill. A lot of pre-merge boots that would have made gameplay a lot more interesting at this point

I like that this season is different. We've seen seasons recently which included a blinside every week, and constant advantages. I think it's refreshing for this one to be played more straight up and for the ones I'm cheering for to make it to the end.
So much of an individuals success in this game is dependent on what season they get cast. Thomas and Sai would have both done well in other seasons. Joe or Eva could have been voted out really early with other groups or without each other.

I think this season could have gone differently if Cedrek picked Justin to keep around instead of Sai. She was universally disliked and an easy vote at the merge. If Justin is still there, that first vote may not have been so easy and it could have triggered a very different game.

I will never understand Cedrek keeping Sai around. She was NOT an ally to him.

It's unfortunate the SWP didn't come into play. I was really hoping Eva would give it to Mary and proceed to vote out Kamilla. When Kamilla won immunity that couldn't happen. Then it is more of a detremint to play it than anything because it would give Kyle and Shauhin reason to vote out Joe.
It is kind of interesting not seeing any advantages really come into play.

I'm not sure why Mitch is so content to go out sixth. He has to know he isn't part of the core 4 "strong" alliance. Nobody has been working with him to plan the "next" step. At least Kamilla has Kyle working with her. Mitch is just also there.

The way it is shaping up Kyle or Kamilla are going to win. They've made to big of a deal out of them having this secret alliance all game for it not to play a major role in the outcome of this game.

I’m the complete opposite. I got so tired of those players, it’s cringy AF. Like not everything needs to be a blindside or big move, sometimes the simple play is the best one.

If you give me a “guarantee” of getting to the final 4, or even final 6, I’m taking that every time over trying to pull some crazy Survivor move to look cool and then getting voted out.

Maybe doesn’t make for the best TV but I’m enjoying this season more than most others because people are trying to change or go against the fabric of the recent game play. I don’t need blindside after blindside by players who are terrible human beings.

I would say Kyle is just as bad as Mitch about riding coattails at this point by not using his alliance with Kamilla to flip the game. This was the week where they could have voted out Joe and flipped it but once again Kyle was too scared to rock the boat and played the safe vote which is what Joe pitched. If Joe gets to the end he is winning at this point. The only way anyone but him wins at this point is voting him out. You already had Mary and Kamilla onboard with voting out Joe and Kamilla even set it up with playing it cool with Eva. My guess is Kyle chickened out and thus so did Kamilla and Mitch too because if there were 3 votes on Joe then you know he's gunning for them next vote with the power he and Eva have with SWP and the idol plus the odds he might win immunity too.

Joe has been my favorite from day 1 so rooting for him to win it. His game reminds me a lot of another firefighter that is my all time favorite winner which is Tom Westman. Tom won a lot of immunity challenges, was the leader of his alliance, and was well liked by most on his season thus he won 6-1. Joe is setting himself up to have played a very similar game I think if he makes it to final tribal. I'm perfectly fine if the strong 4 make it to the end because most seasons lately the strongest players don't make it and we are stuck with some less deserving options.

We know Eva has use or lose her SWP next vote so that could be a big thing to save one of her or Joe or maybe 1 of their other alliance. Is her idol good till final 4 or 6? That is going to play a factor soon too.

Big miss not taking out Joe. The bottom 3 +Kyle just gave up.
Kyle needs the other Big 3. He's pissed off too many on the jury already. He will need their votes if he gets to the finals.

This maybe the bitterest jury since I've been watching.
We'll see, depends on who makes it to the end. By the time we make it to the final for some one the jury the bitterness settles down and reality of picking a deserving winner sets in. Kyle may have blown his game not getting Joe out this week. If Joe and Eva make it to the end all Joe needs to do to defend his game is say he stuck with his alliance and played an honest game as it was known from the start who he wanted to go to the end with. Kyle and Mitch have not been able to pull the trigger on any big moves to put them in the drivers seat and there are not many chances left now. Kamilla basically has been Kyle's insurance policy if he had a falling out with his strong alliance he had a plan B. He hasn't used her as plan A up to this point so I have my doubts that he ever will.
