Suh Suspended for First Playoff Game

I wonder who's going to pay this d-bag in free agency. He's a good player but he's just a ****. I don't think he get Gerald McCoy money.

I'd pay him to play on my team. His great play far outweighs the fact that he is a dirty football player.

Oh I agree. The suspension is a mixture of Suh's reputation and Aaron Rodgers being on the receiving end IMO. But no question his reputation was a major factor.

To the part I quoted. It does happen to many players in many games, but when it happens to the Big 3 is usually when you will see punishment. I still don't think Suh is suspended if he steps on Teddy B or Jay Cutler. But that's just my opinion.

I could agree with that. I'm a huge fan of Manning and Rodgers because of what they bring to the game outside of their talent but even I can see there is a bit of overprotection for them.

what a idiot ,they need to ban him for life ,before he really goes crazy, steroids will make you stupid

The whole Detroit team has a problem. Their center Raiola stomped on Chicago DT Ferguson in the Lions last game. Raiola was suspended for one game (yesterday's Packer game).

The common thread? Huskers stink!

I haven't even seen the play but you're not going to get away with much when you have a terrible history.

As a Packer fan I completely understand and think his punishment is proper. The guy is a dirtbag and continually gets used and abused by the Packers. He was torqued because his teams sucks and can't beat us so he does crap like this. I'm not the least bit surprised and now I'll enjoy every minute of watching the Cowboys put these turds back into the offseason.

I just watched it on YouTube for the first time. It doesn't look like anything intentional there, but I have no problem suspending that idiot. If this wasn't Suh it would be a non-issue. Go Cowboys!

Don't forget that number 12 already had a bum leg and suh knew what he was doing by stepping on it. What is this? Pro wrestling? If he is trying to take him out suspend him the rest of the playoffs

That punishment is way over the top. This is football! Ya think stepping on a guys foot is the worthy of a suspension? A lot worse goes on

Did you see the play?
He stepped back on him once, the puts his full body weight on his other foot on top of Rodgers' calf. He could have broken the guys leg.

I understand if it being an accident if it was just once, but he knew he stepped on something the first time them stepped back and put all his weight on his foot the second time. He knew what he was doing.

I know stuff happens in games. Eye gouges, sucker punches, all that. But you can't pull that crap and not expect to get a big punishment, especially with his history. It's not like it was at the bottom of a pile either. Out in the open where everyone and every camera could see it.

Not like Stafford is going to beat the Cowboys anyway, so one game is the playoffs for the Lions.

I don't think Suh meant to step on Rodgers. It was an honest mistake. BUT once on the foot, he kinda stepped back again and applied weight. He was clearly trying to get away with something, and didn't.

Suh is a dirtbag, and everybody knows that. Not sure why people are surprised by this.

I'll say this first...I'm a Lions fan but not a Suh fan. The problem I have is that there was no definitive "intent". Raiola was clearly intentional...but this was not clear, IMO. To have the NFL call it a "violation of safety-related playing rules" is a joke. You know how many of those happen on a weekly basis? There will be few games on Sunday if this way of reviewing the game is how we go forward.

As much as I hate to say it, Favre was better if for no other reason than he wasn't a constant whiner like Rodgers. Favre would have jumped up and taken a poke at Suh. He was more of a football player and less of a poster-boy.

It's football...**** happens...and you can't make precedent-setting decisions based on someone's reputation, which is what I believe the NFL did. Show me definitive intent in this, sans Suh's rep, and I'll concede. Otherwise, I agree that it was kowtowing to the GB and Rodgers fan base.

Statistically speaking Favre has nothing on Rodgers. Give Rodgers the amount of time Favre had in the league and his numbers will be long gone. His time in Green Bay was nice and I appreciate all he did for our organization as part owner I can say that :)

It's impossible to do that, though, because the incident does not exist in a vacuum. Suh's Rep absolutely is a factor. How could it not be? And by his own doing, he's completely eliminated the possibility of getting the benefit of the doubt, anymore. That's his own fault and no one else's.
