Went to buy 2 tickets for the game tonight on StubHub and the fee for $29 in tickets was $11.67. That's a 40% markup! Anyone with experience purchasing through StubHub know if it is always that high of a fee?
I remember when stub hub used to advertise based on the seller's price and then try to throw all the fees on at checkout. Lots of angry customers back then. Now they advertise the price WITH the fee. The fee is still BS but at least now they disclose it without you believing it to be way cheaper.
Yes, they take 10% on the sales side. So, does StubHub charge fees to both buyer and seller?
Weird. They must have went back to their old model. That's dumb. Stub Hub is once again luring customers in and throwing surprise fees at checkout. Terrible strategy. They may make more money but it will **** off customers in the long run.The prices that I am currently seeing do not reflect the fee.

Stubhub always a last resort, TicketExchange way better.
Both Stubhub and the Iowa State sponsored ticket exchange charge the seller a flat percentage (10%) fee. Part of the buyer's fee on Stubhub is a percentage (15% I think) fee followed by an additional flat fee not based on percentage.I had no idea they charged a fee to the buyer too. That's ridiculous.
I think their fees used to be worse for sellers than they are now. They may have passed some of that on to the buyer. Part of the issue is that they ship UPS 2 day air, which is not cheap and that cost is absorbed by the buyer.
But they have an immediate pdf access option, so there's no "shipping fee" technically.
