I don't think it is putting the fan base down to highlight what the fanbase does well like showing up to games, being loud for the team, etc. but also recognizing what the fan base does poorly like getting organized for events like this. History shows this to be a fact rather than just some posters' opinions. Hopefully the AD can spring for some shirts to make it happen but even then there might be a lot of fans that need pursuading to participate.First, this is never going to fly as some kind of fan based initiative. Second, who gives a **** what people wear, we still put more people in the stands than most schools. Some of you really get your rocks off putting down your own fan base, which is really strange to me.
For the CBA game I brought every gold Cyclone shirt I owned. I ended up loaning every one of them out at our tailgate because several people said, "I didn't think it would be that big of a deal" or "I didn't think everyone would do it." Until people start thinking "they are trying to do this and they won't be able to do it without me so I am going to help" it isn't going to be successful. Change starts with one person - me, not someone else.
