Yes, but I'm not rooting for the bad guy. Bad people with power standing up to ****** people doesn't make them a hero. It just makes them more comfortable exercising that power against others.
Maybe it's just me, but in a weird way I find myself really pulling for those two crazy kids in love...

I didn't say it made her a good person or forgives the bad things she has done, but I'm sorry, what they are doing with them is the very definition of humanizing them and making them relateable in the story.
Yeah, there’s a line of thought that the empire is the government and the rebels are actually terrorists. The empire is doing what it needs to do to maintain law and order. If they’re have to step on some people to do it, they have no problem with that, but for the most part they are not out there torturing people for fun. In their minds it’s justified to do some of those things for the “greater good”. Now, maybe they don’t realize that there is a Sith Lord running the show and he actually IS evil, but I like that there’s some grey area where people just see things differently. Different point of view as Ben said.

Pretty fair way to put it. Honestly didnt ever really think of it that deeply but it makes sense. Everyones motivations are different.

It's most definitely a story of radicalization. Push someone far enough and they will resort to violence in protest. I think in the macro the Empire is evil and the Rebellion is good, but in the micro those lines get blurred, which is a consistent theme through both Rogue One and Andor. In episode 6 from season one when the rebels first draw their weapons on the imperials there is a mother and her child in the room. The rebels point their weapons at them and an imperial officer draws his weapon and his only demand is to let the child go. In that moment, without context, the rebels seems like the bad guys. In Luthens monologue he says lines like "I am forced to use the tools of my enemies to defeat them" and "I burn my decency for someone else's future". They make decisions like allowing Kreegyrs men to die to protect assets. It's not a morally clear picture, but that's part of what makes it a better and a more true to life story. The world is rarely black and white, even if we want it to be that way.

Still a lot of death left in this season to setup Rogue One. Still a lot of characters in play that are absent from RO.

Wonder if we see any scenes with Galen Erso since they included Krennic or if the Death Star is just a passing shot at the end?

The cadence so far is each arc ending with the death of a protagonist… Bix and Luthen gotta watch their backs!! I think Syril is destined to be thrown under the bus for whatever goes awry on Ghorman.

I hope we get a Galen scene or two to add that connective tissue to Rogue One, just because I love Mads Mikkelson. I think he appeared at the recent Star Wars Fest to promote Andor so fingers crossed.

Oh I 100% believe that Bix and Luther get killed at some point in the last few episodes. Would not surprise me if Dedra and Syril either die or end up in prison from the empire throwing them under the bus.

What I’d love to see is a showing or at least cameo from SW Rebels. It would be really cool to see Kanan Jarrus show up with them, but I don’t know if the timelines match up. Even an Ashoka cameo would be cool. The other thing I’d like to see is how the alliance comes together…especially how they bring in the mon calamari.

I am enjoying bits and pieces of this season but so far I would say I enjoyed season 1 more.

Definitely. The arcs had way better flow. Two episodes buildup and then a third with the big payoff "event". With S2, there's a lot of building and tension, but not really the payoff. Especially when they take a year off in the timeline between "arcs". I'm still enjoying it, but man, for anyone who isn't a SW nerd loving the backstory for RO and ANH, I can't see how they could like it.

It's playing more like a flashback. You're seeing moments, not whole events. Like you could almost envision characters sitting around a campfire telling bits of their back story right before the big mission.

It's a big galaxy, they don't all have to end up dead if they aren't in RO. I could see Bix surviving. With all that she's been through, she'd make an interesting character to read about what she's like after Andor dies and if she continues as an agent of the Rebellion. Luthien is probably a goner though.

Next weeks arc could be huge. Mon Mothma should have a huge speech and BBY 2 is the year Leia becomes a senator, I believe. And at some point they are going to tell about how Andor gets teamed up with K-2SO.

Syril I could see scapegoated for the possible future events on Ghorman and Dedra locking him away would be chef's kiss. She I bet ends up on the Death Star which solves that problem.

Big rumor is they cross into the Secret Cargo episode of Rebels.
