Sorsby, Campbell surrender so fast!!!

Really the only winners here were Yormark and the Big 12 in their ability to enforce the standards of the conference and bring this to a close. I've never been one to wish ill will on another, but Sorsby wasn't really punished for his actions, not having to forfeit his NIL. My hope is that nobody picks him up in the supplemental draft. He can still pursue his ambitions as a free agent but make him earn it on merit rather than rewarding him with draft position contract money.
I'm just glad it's over and proved there is still a glimpse of integrity in the sport of college football and the Big 12

It was refreshing to see the Big 12 and some AG's come together and hammer the stupid narrative Texas Tech was pushing.

I don't know about caving "fast." It was long enough to get a large portion of the nation's sports fans to put them on the "Hate" list.
It was fast once an actual lawsuit hit them. It's clear that TTU and Paxton sincerely thought the conference would not have the balls to throw something at them in a courtroom, and once proven wrong, one or both of those parties completely bailed.

Tech left the conference little choice when they started sabre rattling about suing any conference action. Once that happened, the conference had to take action to preserve their ability to govern.

The smart move would have been to wait and see what punishment came (if any) but Tech chose to go nuclear immediately

Sorsby was never going to play. Can't believe Texas Tech made such an ass of themselves, when the outcome was never in doubt.
You can’t?
They had a persecution complex before this, somewhat for good reason, with P2 hating that the new era allows a greenblood like Tech to compete for players

Their response was clearly that they wanted to be defiant, yet they never committed to crossing the line

I don’t think they realized the Big 12 wasn’t going to support their grandstanding or defiance. Poor choice to use Paxon as legal counsel

Honestly, Sorsby seems like a decent kid with a major addiction. This might be the best thing for him just to move on. He's talented enough to at least stick as a back up for several seasons in the league.

Going to the supplemental draft may help to land on a team with a true need rather than a team grabbing him up because they need to pick someone and he was the best available.

Also, the NFL’s ability to monitor his addiction is much better than what Tech or the NCAA could do. So if he’s truly trying to move on, then he has a chance to get on the right track.

Why would Sorsby even care if makes it to the NFL? Even if he still just has half of the NIL he got from Cody, he has enough to sit on the beach with Jimbo for many years to come.

Confessed gambling addict more likely to end up broke within a short period of time without continue income and a support system in place.

This guy screams UFL QB if you ask me.

Even if he's good enough I can't imagine the NFL welcoming the guy whose gambling issues are known by everyone now without some sort of suspension or penalty. And signing a QB who can't play is a tough sale.
