I'm not sure what it is, but the offense is just not flowing like it used to. We actually shot pretty well tonight (10-19 from 3) but there is still something missing. Anyone got any ideas? I think maybe we are missing that toughness that Ejim and Kane had last year. Overall, I guess I am just not sure what to make of this team right now. I mean, it was a great effort to fight back from 17 down and have a chance to win at the end, but we shouldn't have gotten down by that much in the first place.

On that note, good game by Naz. 5-5 from 3! BDJ looked solid for the first time in a couple weeks. Morris had 11 pts, 7 rebs and 9 assists.

It's defensive rebounding and a whistle on Cherry's shot. That is what we needed to win today.

58% at the free line and off rebounds kills teams in close games. And they'll all be close in the b12.

We won 3 road games last year total. Two of which were against tcu and tech. We were a missed layup or a bad call away from being 3-0 on the road so far this season matching our total from last year against two ranked teams and Iowa. You are right our Offense is a bit behind last year but our defense is much better making us more competitive on the road. Otherwise you are just having a case of selective memory. We will win a lot more road games this year than last.

ISU has given up 38 offensive rebounds in the last 2 games, 54 in the past 4 games. Thats what it is. They are not able to get out in transition when they are giving up so many 2nd chances.

Correction, Naz shot well from 3. Rest of the team was 5/14.

Not going to win many games giving up 19 offensive boards. Played well just to have a shot.

In games like that we need our own TE to clear some room, so Ill say we need Bibbs out there.

McKay needs to finish at the rim better. Dunk at all cost.

Nader needs to stay away from the out of bounds line.

We need a fourth guard who can defend.

Niang hitting shots/breaking down the defense consistently.
Hogue getting aggressive on the defensive glass.
McKay hitting free throws consistently, or finishing to get the and 1.

That's what is holding this team back from being an elite, instead of just good team.

Baylor did what they had to do at the beginning of the game and we chased the rest of the way.

I thought our offense looked really good early in the year, but something has just been different since McKay got into the lineup. Ball movement and shot selection is a little different. Not as much of the drive and dish, less open looks from 3, less of those very easy layups for Hogue. The drop in FT% doesn't help either. I agree that we will be ok and win a lot more games, I was just trying to figure out why our offense looks so much different the last couple of weeks.
