Sims information

What about the MWC? didnt you guarantee that we were going to the Mountain West?
Didnt guarentee that, at the time when the Big 12 was crumbling it was our best case scenario IMO, thought we should jump if the opportunity was there.

I hope the trial is delayed until mid January, 2011.

Agree. Until this thing is settled in court, Sims plays. Extra wind sprints each day. When the trial is over at the end of January, 2011, then suspend him.

Both may be wrong, but there is a difference. You can't really disagree with that.

He was trying to put a positive spin on a criminal act - I'm not buying it.
If I had ever done something like Sims is now charged with, it wouldn't have lessened my parents' shame in me by telling them "hey folks, I didn't steal the cc, I just found it and then used it."

I don't think we are above Iowa or any other program, but that doesn't mean I don't enjoy making fun of them. Otherwise, I guess I'm pathetic.

Making fun of them is expected... can't stand some of the posters though, every time someone on the team gets in trouble for anything they want to throw the book at them and kick them off the team, just to prove that we are stricter than Iowa.

Then they post things like "How can we make fun of Iowa for their 30 arrests last year if Coach doesn't kick Kennard Banks off the team immediately for a minor arrest?" It seems there priorities as ISU fans are based off having tougher disciplilne than Iowa, rather than actually winning football games. I never understand what any player on our team getting in trouble has to do with Iowa in the first place.

I agree with that. Though in a court of law, It is one crime instead of two, which does make a difference on the suspension.

Personally, i'm withholding opinion on the right suspension length when all the facts come out.

I agree with this. The attorney's are the ones that have the most information on this case. I would hope that they will let Rhoads know all of the particulars that have not been made public and he can base his decision on that. Between Rhoads, Pollard, and the people in the judicial system, I think the right decision will be made.

That being said, at this point from the charges that were filed, it doesn't seem like this is going to be a big deal to the county attorney which is a good sign for Sims.

Are you ******* serious? Don't put words in my mouth. I never said what he did was right or even defensible. I said that if he found the card that is much different to me than had he hatched a plan to steal a CC. If you can't see the difference there then I guess there then I won't argue with you anymore.

As for the "I guess I was brought up different with you" comment with the implied "my parents must have done better raising there children BS," save it. I suppose if you mean that you were raised to look at things in only black and white and not really think about the differences in different scenarios you may be correct, but I don't think that's what you meant.
