Why not publicly try to book a Game against OSU in Columbus this weekend? Take the CFB playoff out of the committees hands by beating OSU then OU back to back.

In real life, get the rest. There's not that much to gain, and that's a lot of wear on the team.

Big 10 would find it safer just to change their rule on number of games needed played to be eligible for their conference championship game instead of running the risk of playing ISU, or A&M and losing.
Ohio State probably doesn't think like that. But the rest of the Big 10 that wants that big playoff 4 money distribution sure does.
