As for the DT position, I agree with you 100%. As of right now, Brandon Jensen is the only DT recruit we've gotten in the last 2 years (last year and this year).

We've only lost 2 DTs the last 2 years.

The point is that the d-line has been our biggest weakness for the past few years now and we need to be trying to recruit over the guys we have right now because of it.

I know that we need D-line and run stoppers, but good WR that block, get open and catch the ball lead a lot of times to more points, and hopefully a lead, where the other team needs to pass more to catch up. Until we can bulk some smaller guys up and turn them into D-line (ala Lattimer at DE), our offense needs to kick it into gear and start lighting up the board more. Best QB can't do it without good WR, as they'll sit on the running game. Time for Money, Darks, and some of the new guys to step up their game.

I don't understand how someone like Jennert can have an awesome spring game last year, and then does not play one down all year. Then just goes off and leaves the program. Boggles my mind.

So instead of signing a class in the lower 20's, we will more than likely sign 25 players it sounds like. Make them count.

What is the status of Lonzie Range ? Didn't he have ACL surgery on his second knee this past season ?

Thomas Patton, Walter Nickel and Trent Flander were all 4 stars in the 2005 class. Meanwhile Reggie Stephens and Alvin bowen were 2 and 3 stars respectively. Just goes to show stars don't mean all that much.

Disagree with lumping Nickels with the other 2, he was a very good TE... Prior to Franklin probably up there as one of the better.....

Me too. Maybe we hyped him up way too much, or maybe he just had a bad attitude toward the program.

IMO he was a Chizik hold over recruit anyway. Just did not fit the system....
