So what is your answer to the question I posed? IS KU ALSO GOING TO THE MAC?
The following teams after getting kicked out for sucking at FB more often than not, will form their own conference:
Iowa St, KU, WSU, Syracuse, Duke, Indiana etc.

I'm not required to answer your question because its impossible to answer that.
Why? You just said performance in football has everything to do with us going to the MAC...KU is worse than us, so where are they going? Sun Belt?

Attack the position based on where I live, thats the ticket..... Maybe spend a few minutes reading around here before confirming to everyone that you don't have any idea what you're talking about. There are plenty of posters questioning JP. I don't happen to be one however.
Not here to answer all your questions. Go troll somebody else.
Just threw the location in because I haven't heard hardly any comments about Pollard doing a bad job in his position from my acquaintances. Sure there are a few vocal posters on here that have a bone to pick with him about something but in my opinion it's a very small minority.
He shouldnt of been the head coach this year after getting blown out horribly all last year. He wont get fired. He can lose 80-0 and he will retain his job. Its ridiculous and Pollard is a pansy.
JP is too cheap to fire him yet. We might beat WVU or KState.
Baylor could win 100-0 and JP wouldn't fire him - Rhoads is "his guy". It will take Leath and/or donors making the decision for Pollard, and if that happens, it won't be until the end of the season - and if it comes to that Pollard may be going out the door with him.
What is JP going to sell next year? What excuse is left? The main reason so many people renewed this season was because of the SEZ. That awe will be gone. Whats left?
I think its even money that both JP and PR don't come back next year if we LOSE OUT the rest of the season
In response to this…If nothing is done after this year, we need to take a serious look at pollard then.
Absolutely. It's kinda sad that we have to worry about him being here next year, but I do think there is a small chance.
What! Another two win season next year? Hey, JP, never do a ten year contract extension again. That is not Kool.
Anyone get JP's 2 cents on this??
I'm guessing this is how it went down...
Saturday after play: probably high 5ing and stroking the donors, excited and "SO PROUD" of our team and coaches, "WE MIGHT BEAT TCU!!"
Monday after presser: Our coaching staff knows best, and if they feel it was a ball that shouldn't have been thrown that's probably the case
UGH!!!!!!!!!!!! I hope President Leath does something with this Circus act real soon
Fire Pollard!
Better get use to the tradition. Rhoads will not be fired unless the man in charge is fired.
If Rhoads still has his job when he gets to Ames, then Pollard needs to go too.
If I were Pollard? I'm guessing he stays. If I'm me? He still goes.
I think you are spot on, I posted about the same in another thread. JP wants any excuse to keep CPR and save $$. A win over TCU would prob be enough, esp if they look competitive the rest of the way and/or win another game.
Some one really should email pollard his quotes when mac "resigned" wonder how he'd spin it.
Jamie will NOT fire cpr of his own volition no matter how many games Rhoads wins or loses the rest of the way...Jamie and Paul are tight and You don't fire your friends..............
I'm NOT looking forward to another Trevone Boykin blow out tonight but with a defense that gives up 776 yards to a fair tx tech team.....
The skies the limit (on points by boykin and co) as they say.
My nightmare scenario is that ISU goes 4-8 with an upset win over TCU or Baylor. Then JP will point to the Toledo game and say that CPR was a field goal away from 5-7 and competing for a bowl game. Then Pollard can keep his best buddy and it knocks one of a Big 12 team out of the playoff, which this conference despately needs.
At this point, run up the score TCU.
Again, that is a fault of Pollard. Our budget increased $7 million from last year to this year, we were given a $25 million gift for the SEZ which should produce at least another $1 million per year.
But I don't doubt that he would keep Rhoads to pinch pennies and built a new field hockey facility with it.
Pollard thinks he's running a MAC program.
Slide mangino up to HC and Sage at QB Coach, Troy Davis at RB, that would be pretty cool. Still would need a change defensively though.
I'm all for hiring Sage as a QB coach, but definitely not as head coach without any experience.
My Son and I were chatting about when the time would come that a new Head Football Coach would needed we both agreed that who ever the hire it had to bring a level of excitement much like the Basketball program did a few years back, I mentioned Sage Rosenfels. It could be magic like when the Hoiberg was ask to become the cyclones Head Basketball Coach. (Former star Cyclone player, former NFL QB, with an offensive mindset).
We agreed that, like Fred he would have to hire wisely to look for that experienced guy ( like Doc Sadler was ) to help him for a few years. That said we ran with the idea and were placing new coaches every where. Like Seneca Wallace Offensive coordinator/QB coach...Troy Davis Running Back Coach..Ben Bruns Offensive Line Coach...ETC.
Now that you get my drift...thoughts??
And Sage absolutely idolizes Mac. Bring them both back!Sage should be welcomed to the football program in any capacity that he would like.
Announcer, position coach, head coach, goodwill embassador, etc. Call your shot, Sage
ISU can do worse than a former player who knows the game, seems to enjoy the university and played in the "League" for the long term. The man is bright and talented
