I will be honest. I always knew Bob was limited but also knew he played his ass off. While he deserves all the flak in the world when he forces action, knowing that he's limited, most of the frustration was really with TJ as his usage really didn't match his effectiveness. Given his lack of natural lack of athleticism, terrible hands, poor hops, and a struggle to understand his limitations despite being in the program for 2 years, I wasn't all that optimistic he could really improve.
But improve he did. Bob came into the year leaner and immediately did a much better job of playing within himself. Instead of putting up 10 shots with 6 of them being forced he demonstrated he was okay putting up 4-5 good ones, with a high percentage of makes, and generally making good decisions with the ball. He's also DUNKING the ball much more frequently this year, eliminating some of those frustrating yips he had when he'd try to lay it up despite being 6' 10".
If he only he had better hands but you can say that about all of our bigs.
