Only ever saw an episode or two of his show. Heard Bradshaw talk about him and he sounded like a guy who enjoyed what he did and followed his passion. It allowed him to create a business that helped him to employ his family so he could spend time with them also. Sounds a lot like a farming family.

Some people suck, and they still sucked even though they died, and that's ok. This dude seems like he kinda sucked at least in some ways, but that's not my problem, that is/was his problem.
Yeah, and bigotry was his passion. Please don't project this man's warped ideologies onto our innocent rural folk. They deserve better.

Phil Robertson in life famously showed little respect for people he deemed different than himself, why the **** would he now deserve blanket respect simply for dying?

Not sure what the appeal was for that show. Reality TV is a joke. Allows people to sit on their asses and live life vicariously through characters on a screen.
Regardless of how a person lived their life, their viewpoints, etc.... it's ok to pay respects to the deceased.

I saw 1 or 2 episodes of it. If those goofballs can make money off of living their lives.... all the power to them. Reality TV does suck, but in America you can make bank off of it.
My cousin had a friend who did some business stuff with them. Per the friend, they're not goofballs and are actually quite intelligent and damn good at business. The show is pretty much all staged and a joke.
I didn't understand the appeal of the show. I'm not a big reality tv watcher so that might be part of it.
What little I saw of that and the kardashians, they were similar but for different groups. I found both rather boring but I’m not into what either shows core is about.
There is no person who's ever lived who has not kinda sucked at least in some ways. Dancing on the grave of someone who kinda sucked in your less-preferred way is major suck
