You never went to the Cyclone Truck Stop? That place was the best, I can still picture the server who wouldn't take crap from anyone, she was great.
South side of HWY 30 across from the Hampton Inn. Great drunk food!!
That place was a shthole in all the best ways. Always reminded me of the Boondocks truck stop.
Back in the 70’s, a stop at Sambo’s on Lincoln Way was always a good choice after an evening on the town.
I’ve got nothing but fond memories of closing down the bar and getting chicken fried steak from that place. It was great.

Everything was a greasy smokey to die for food. Chicken fried steak was great. Lol that article sums it up.

One “morning” at the truck stop. Had to way to much. We were with two other couples, not knowing, I ordered “that” picture of eggs and bacon. When we got our food, I had “that” picture cut out of the menu, and placed on my plate. Even the kitchen had to see the reaction.
Midnight dump at Paddy's, 230 AM dump at home, 9 AM both ends. Did I do college wrong?
