I think it's funny (minus one or two on here) that the Reds fans are completely quiet and don't care about their team until they are in first place in July. As bad as the Cubs have been the past however many years, Cubs fans are loyal and will cheer whether in first or last.

There just aren't many Reds fans in Iowa, so you don't really hear from them. I'm originally from Ohio, grew up there, went to HS there, and then moved to Iowa. I'm as loyal as they come.

As a White Sox fan, I'll say it is simply due to their fanbase. Most of us like Lou, like guys like Derrek Lee, etc., but simply hate the Cubs fans.

Cubs' fans are mouthy :wink:. Plus the "local" central Iowa media keeps ramming them down our throats.

better learn the heimlich, central Iowa is Cubs country.

I've seen your Reds logo as Avatar for a long time on here, so I have no problem with you. Just find it funny that others come out of the woods for it. I will say this, it does keep some of the other teams fans in the division quiet, so I'm happy about that.

Well, we really havent had alot to cheer about over the last 10+ years, so I am just happy to see them doing well and I posted about it. I am not going to come to CF to talk Cincinnati Reds baseball because I realize there are pry only about 3-4 fans on this board and there really wouldn't be much discussion at all. I dont consider it coming out of the woods, we have been here all along, just a super minority :smile:

I think the Cubs are pathetic. They would probably have a hard time beating some AAA teams. I hate that Des Moines media doesn't talk about the Twins that much. Sure we are the minority but there's still a lot of us.
