And before the Vaughn coming for a visit during the Iowa game gets a ton of traction, anyone have a link confirming this?

Could someone please post the tweet or article that says Vaughn is visiting for the Iowa game. I am yet to see any factual information that he is visiting that weekend.

It seems to be heresay at the moment. We'll have to be patient to find out if there is substance to it.

I don't think he is visiting either. I haven't read anything that says he is. Does anyone know when he leaves for prep school?

I'll tell you exactly where it came from. In the Rashad Vaughn thread someone said that he heard he was coming for the Iowa game. Earlier in the day a discussion had been made about Allen Lazard's official visit in that thread. The guy might have been talking about Lazard, but there is no way to know because like I said it was hours after the discussion.

Nothing that anybody knows. It was just a dipwad saying it didn't go well.

I correctly and fairly posted that a few fans were talking at a CCL game one night shortly after JJ's first visit. I heard them talking ... mentioning that after visiting Louisville, he wasn't real fired up about his trip here. But that was then. This is now. Another poster mentioned how 'sick' the facilities are at Louisville, which could have been part of that reasoning, and also summer and an empty campus aren't an ideal time to visit Ames. Since then several sites have mentioned Louisville as his leader, possibly. I also followed up later in a post saying that it was great news to hear that he would return and take one of his official visits here. I hope we're sitting good with JJ and he comes here, just like all of you. Doesn't sound like someone wanting to "stir the pot" . First a hawk troll, now a "dipwad".... okay, I already got the call out after the first time. I get it. No need for name calling. I posted later about my regret of posting hearsay. I'll wait for the Register, CW, or Hines, or other printed sources to ever comment on this board. I will NEVER post hearsay again. ( Except in this post, that is, to explain again that it was just a friendly conversation amongst avid, loyal, Cyclone fans who like to talk at the CCL games.) End of story. But at least I moved up in the world. I'd rather be called a dipwad, than a hawk. lol Go CFH, let's get JJ, Cunningham, and Vaughn, or whomever is high on our list!

Once you originally clarified, it made sense. Not sure what those fans could have known, but then again it was strange that we couldn't get one quote about his visit so the above info makes sense to me. Hope UL gets their main target and JJ see's the light and comes to the good guys.

Read on GopherHole that Macura might be down to Creighton and Minny (apparently said he liked the idea of being Pitino's first 2014 commit), though he recently set up a visit to Xavier.

Gopherhole is full of delusional idiots. They think they are in on every one of the Minnesota recruits when in reality, Macura is probably the only one they really have a shot with.

Yeah, if reports are correct, they are in a hot competition with a big man coach at CU. If they can pull that off, they should be happy.

Can't argue with the first point, though it was Macura himself who stated being Pitino's first commit for 2014 is appealing and the piece about his relationship with Crieghton...I think. Don't stone me if this happens to be 'rumor'

No info, but I can't see Macura coming here. My guess is Minn, Creighton, in that order. And its a total guess.
