Yeah, that would definitely describe the overall trajectory and also what happened this morning. That clip is such a great metaphor...initially it looks like it just might work, but then becomes obvious that failure is imminent.

Agreed. In two years, the power conferences will pull rank and drop that to top 4 conference champs and highest rated team from another conference....particularly when one conference is only streaming on Apple. That can change though.
Its the top 6 champions....so the Pac 9 could be left out, especially if it goes below 9 without ORWA.
And that is just for 2 years. After that everything is up in the air how they qualify teams for the playoff, it will be reworked and revoted after the 2 years.
Yeah I’ve been reading the ASU boards and their own fans hate Crow. They seem like they are pro-big12. It’s just Crow is kicking and screaming not to go.If you ask their fans he hasn't acted in the interest of ASU sports in 20 years. So i'm not sure the stanford part is really a change for him

This whole morning was a smoke screen to get a better deal.
I swear Stewie is on the PACX payroll.
If I am ORWA:PAC-9 is getting 1 spot, every single year, in a 12 team playoff. Maybe.
an 18-team B1G is probably getting 4....3 minimum.
The current Stanford President resigned 2 weeks ago, and his last day is Aug 31st. With the "scandal" that caused him to resign, Stanford isn't going to name a permanent replacement for him in a matter of weeks. They haven't even announced their search committee yet.You keep forgetting Crow will become the Stanford president in a few weeks. He’s not thinking about what’s in the best interest of AZ or even ASU - he’s thinking about what’s best for Stanford. Which is why he’s a conflict of interest.
If they want to get to 18 teams they kinda do....more games, more content, additional options for late games, USC/UCLA may be pushing for closer neighbors. But does the Big10 really need to play that game? They don't need Oregon or Washington.
I mean just look at pac 12 basketball. Hell two years ago people thought they might only get their champion march madness. I think there is even a chance that the cfp removed one of the 6 aq spots with the pac 12 losing so much.this is just patently false also. the big is going to get multiple playoff bids, while the pac would be a 1 bid league. and we all know the weirdness and difficulty of winning a true round robin league. the big would allow you a couple losses and maybe also let you dodge some tougher teams in the schedule.
I swear Stewie is on the PACX payroll.
I’m a big fan of the Jameson Orange, which HyVee keeps putting on sale (thanks!). Plus, you know, orange ”juice” for breakfast.OOH, Im a fan of the Monkey Shoulder and the Jameson, not so much the Beam.![]()
Fox does. But does the Big10 really need to play that game? They don't need Oregon or Washington.
