Vaughn will likely be a early second round pick if he goes this year. Judging by the fact that Vaughn seems to be pretty dumb, I don't think he's going to stick around another year or two to try and make himself a lottery pick.

I will have a nice chuckle when UNLV misses the tourney this year. We all know he gave some BS answers to why he chose UNLV and this will prove us right.

I think the difference is Hoiberg. What RV is putting up right now sounds just like what BDJ was doing last year. Look how much better BDJ is doing this year under Hoiberg I really think RV numbers would look a lot better at ISU.

Agree and NBA drafts on potential anyways. If he wants to go, he'll probably get a sniff.

The D-League is ******* up the NBA and NCAA. It makes me sick to see nothing but freshmen and sophomores on the lists of top recruits. The NCAA claiming they give a rip about integrity is a joke. One free semester and then gone. Sounds like college to me.

I know the staff worked extremely hard to get him and was very disappointed when he chose UNLV but I still think we came out better by getting a 4 year player like BDJ. RV would have thrived much better in Hoiberg's system but that is his mistake he will have to live with. He may have to stick around in college ball another year if he keeps up his lackluster performance.
Well, how do you expect him to score if he does not shoot the rock? Hard to assist when you are firing away. He may have his gig down after three more years.

Or he can come play wide receiver for our football team......

Utah just made a last second layup to go up by 1 at the half at UNLV. Rashad Vaughn could have been in position to block the layup. But he was not going at full speed because, well apparently team defense isn't part of his one and done plans. Vaughn did make a really nice spinning layup a few minutes earlier. He's got 6 points on 3 of 9 shooting in the 1st half.

Well that's something I wouldn't say about him - I think Vaughn is still a gifted athlete and any coach in the nation would take him in a heartbeat. But UNLV is an absolute tire fire despite the incredible talent they bring in. He may be front and center, but it's not the ideal way to be showcased.

Anyone who says "we are fine without him" is right and wrong at the same time. Sure we ended up getting BDJ and that is working out quite nicely so far but everyone would (then and now) take Vaughn in a heartbeat. Vaughn coming here could have set us up to get the attention of more highly ranked recruits. If Vaughn would have came here he would be doing probably just as good as BDJ and would probably be drafted in the first round guaranteed. That would have paid huge dividends in the future recruiting efforts.

It's about the system and UNLV is not the system one-and-done players should choose.

If the scouts find and draft all those kids from turdfloistan they will find kids in Vegas. Talent surfaces.

And you know this from watching him a bunch in his first 10 games as a college player? I get that you're butthurt, we all are to a degree, but you're just coming off like the irrational high schooler that you are.

This UNLV/UT game is SOOOOOO SLOOWWWWW.

It's like watching two high school B-teams.

Utah has a "big run" of about eight in 2:30.

A big run for us in the same time period is like 10-15.

These teams are going to struggle to make 60.

We routinely crack 80 and 90.

Vaughn screwed this one up. Fred could have made music with his skills.

Then again, already doing that with BDJ, so all is well.
