Quite the high flying offense by UNLV, more like the "walking rebels"

I kind of feel sorry for Rashad that he has to play for such a horrible coach for his one year of college but then again, he made his own bed. I hope he has fun in Vegas.

Watching them is infuriating after watching us play.

I've never seen any of them do anything away from the ball... no screens, cuts, nothing, just standing around awkwardly while one guy tries to go rogue.

'cept one of their posts always has his arm up, demanding the ball low.

I'm glad I'm watching this, though. Makes me appreciate how FLIPPING FAST we play, and how that challenges almost every team in the country. Hoiball is advanced as Art Briles/Oregon is for football for pace, creativity, efficiency, and forcing basically everybody out of their comfort zone.

I'll say this, I think UNLV is improving. They beat mighty Portland in OT earlier this week.

They are keeping the Utah game close.

But 42 points with 4 minutes left in the game. In the words of wise Kevin McCallister...Buzz, whoof.

I hope whatever deal with the devil Vaughn made was worth it. Has to be a lot more fun playing for Fred.

This is the my first observation of Vaughn playing a full basketball game. He definitely has skill and quickness & incredible talent. BUT, he doesn't have any coaching. I've never seen so many ill-advised shots by that UNLV team. I have no idea what kind of #prostyleoffense Dave Rice is teaching them -- yikes!

I'd rather have BDJ.

Good luck RV, I'm sure unlv will at least make the NIT.
Well... duh? Not everyone knew about BDJ last year, though. That's why so much love was given to Vaughn. Vaughn is a great player with a lot of talent. He would be fantastic at ISU, and that's saying nothing about the national exposure ISU would have received for getting a top notch recruit. He chose UNLV, we got BDJ, everyone wins. Let's not be so butthurt.

I don't think he would get nearly the hate from is if it weren't for that completely transparent bull **** excuse of picking UNLV for their pro style offense. It still infuriates me just thinking about it.

UNLV had 5 assists in the entire game yesterday. 5. Rice has no idea how to coach talent.

If the NBA draft was tomorrow do you think he'd follow through on his one and done plan? I can't imagine he'd project much higher than a late first round pick at best right now.
I think he'll be at a crossroads by the end of this season - leave UNLV for the draft and hope he doesn't fall out of the first round with the guaranteed contracts or transfer to a school where he might actually get better and potentially climb into lottery pick territory. I know of a program that typically does pretty well with high profile transfers with baggage.

I honestly dont think we would take him as a transfer. I think he burned that bridge. I think he really ****** of our coaching staff.

It's possible. For what it's worth, I think he's jumping to the NBA after this season no matter what so it's likely a moot point.
But just for the sake of speculation, let's say he does decide that his stock has dropped so much that he needs to spend a little more time polishing his game and rehabbing his status. If he reaches out to the ISU staff I think they'd be open minded enough to at least listen and have him come out for a visit. They've taken in kids who have made mistakes before; I don't see how this case would be all that different.

He's not coming to ISU. He would have to sit a year and spend 3 years in college. I don't see it.

Maybe but this is not a kid that screwed up. This is a kid that screwed over our staff. Its basically like asking if you would take back a crazy ex girlfriend that is hot. Sure she is hot but she already cheated on you once. Would you risk recruting him and getting burned again. I think he is nba bound this year also. So yeah its a moot point but fun to discuss.
