The Finding Dory thread got me thinking about Pixar. I'm just curious to see how others would rank Pixar's feature films. Please keep your expectations low. This is not a GTO poll.

My rankings:

1a. Incredibles - Great writing from beginning to end. An original movie with good characters and and interesting story. I liked everything about this.

1b. Toy Story - Innovative for it's time, but it was just really well done and is good today as when I first saw it. The voices were perfectly picked as well.

3. Finding Nemo - This movie was really good at hitting a variety of emotions and contained good dialogue throughout. The humor was sprinkled in nicely.

4. Wall E - Underrated movie that had a great message. Wall-E is likable and such an unlikely hero. Kids don't appreciate the message it sends unfortunately.

5. Up - This came out during a rough year for me and that opening sequence caught me off-guard emotionally. It's a great movie with a really odd story-line, but it wor.....SQUIRREL!

6. Toy Story 3 - I liked this slightly better than 2, I thought the ending was a perfect way to close the book on the franchise (What? They're making Toy Story 4?!? !$#?!@#)

7. Toy Story 2 - It took me a few watches to appreciate this one. Jessie's flashback was done really well. My daughter never wants to throw our any toy thanks to this movie. Zurg bugged the hell out of me, though.

8. Monsters Inc - The trailers for this were very clouded so I wasn't sure what to expect initially. Then, oh, those long opening credits. Once it got going, it was a solid movie. John Goodman brought Sully to life. However, Billy Crystal's voice started wearing on me after awhile.

9. Ratatouille - When your main character is an animated rat, you'd better have good writing. This one had it's moments. It was cute and had a good message, but he's still a rat fixing food.

10. Inside Out - I may move this up after a re-watch. I went in expecting more of a light-hearted comedy, but it had more levels than I was ready for. Sadness ****** me off early and it took me a long time to accept her as a main character.

11. Cars - I'm not a racing fan at all, so the premise of this movie never really excited me. Racing wasn't the focal point obviously, and I actually enjoyed it more than I thought. The humor was a little too in-your-face for my liking.

12. A Bug's Life - I'm not sure why, but I just couldn't get overly excited about this one. It had it's moments, but mostly I wanted to step on a lot of them.

13. Brave - Spunky heroine? Check. Set in a cool locale? Check. Archery and a huge bear? Check. Rambling story that never had a real focal point, likable characters, or cohesion? Sigh...check.

14. Monsters University - This was just a parody of itself. I barely laughed. I went in with low expectations and left having those met.

15. Cars 2 - When Larry the Cable Guy is the leading role, what can go wrong? This made me want to walk into my garage and kick my own car.

Toy Story, Up, and Finding Nemo for me are the standouts. Like those three for different reasons.

1. The Incredibles
2. Up
3.... I don't feel like ranking anymore

Up and The Incredibles are legitimately two of the best films ever made. Bar none. I'd put them in my all-time Top 15 or Top 20, if not Top 10.

All three of the Toy Story films are very solid, and Monsters, Inc. is right there, too.

(I guess there's another trilogy where all three films are good, like Star Wars and Mad Max.)

Finding Nemo is up there, too.

Never got Wall-E... it's alright... but there's a steep drop-off after the ones I mentioned above, and kind of downhill from there.

No 'Wreck It Ralph'? Anywhere?

Wrong.

Great flick. Awesome, really. But not Pixar.

Wreck-It Ralph is a 2012 American 3D computer-animated fantasy-comedy film[SUP][4][/SUP] produced by Walt Disney Animation Studios and released by Walt Disney Pictures.[SUP][5][/SUP] It is the 52nd animated feature in the Walt Disney Animated Classics series.

I actually think they've been better than Pixar lately.

Wreck-It Ralph, Frozen, and Tangled are all better than Monsters U, Inside Out, and Brave.

Good catch, my bad and apologies to the OP.

I also think 'Meet the Robinsons' was top notch and is sadly underrated. Another Disney Animated Classic.

I'd say Up, Wall-E, Toy Story 1, Incredibles in that order.

For recent non-pixar animated films, you have to go with Wreck It Ralph and How to Train Your Dragon

I am a huge fan of The Incredibles. After that I have a difficult time picking what I like next: Probably Finding Nemo, Up, Monsters Inc., then Toy Story 2 (I actually liked this better than the original TS).

I liked Inside Out...made me think of how fast time goes, and how much can change in even a small amount of it.

I think Toy Story for being the forefather and still holding up, and Up are two favorites.

Of the ones i have seen and remember.

1. Toy Story
2. Inside Out
3. Cars
4. Finding Nemo
5. The Incredibles

It may be recency bias, but I loved Inside Out.

Inside Out was a good movie but I was also caught a little off guard as I was expecting more of a comedy than as serious of a plot line as it was
