We are going to Lanesboro this weekend. Has anybody ever been there and does anybody have suggestions about places to eat and stuff like that?

I dislike it when the co-op has seasonal workers. Can’t speak English supposedly so you end up doing their work for them.

Complain to the branch manager and have him/her stand out there and train them till they figure out what their supposed to do. Some of the time the branch manager at our site is actually running the grain dump, he's never been afraid to work and started out at the same branch many yrs ago and worked his way up, I wouldn't be surprised if he has over 25 yrs in all at one branch. Another alternative learn the one sentence you need to say to get done what you want done. I'm a looooong ways from bilingual but have used that make things work.

Try Captain D's down in Glidden, if they're still open. The vixen waitressed there years ago, even had a big private party with Orr and the basketball staff. Said she made some unbelievable tips that night.

EDIT: Never mind, they're long gone. :(

I didn't realize there was a Lanesboro in Iowa. We're going to Lanesboro, MN, in the heart of Amish country.

I'm embarrassed to say that I have never been - apart from driving through. You'd think a cyclist who likes his beer would have ridden that trail at some point. It has always been on the list but we have never made it.

There is a restaurant named Pedal Pushers Cafe.

This dude was asking me when he was done the next time I came in. This is one of the larger sites in Iowa and they had an explosion in August and are still rebuilding so some help are still hurt and the rest are running ragged.

He also asked me what we do for that month Or two of winter. He thought we were like bears and hibernated during winter. Then he asked what the people here do that don’t have farms. I think he believes there is nobody in NI but farmers. Then he started talking about a squirrel, I couldn’t wait for the load to empty.
