I used to despise Sweet Caroline for being played after the 3rd quarter. I LOVE that they now play it seconds after the game now if we win. ISU finally figured it out.

I never understood the hate for it in the 3rd going into the 4th. People said it killed the crowd, but that’s ********. The crowd always sang and dance together to it. People said it killed the energy of the team, and I think that’s ******* stupid too. Guaran damn tee that they don’t listen to that and/or care in the least.

TV doesn't show, but many times when I look at the players on the field and also sidelines, they are dancing and/or singing along with the music after the team huddle is done.

Welp Chaser you've got a brand new series now 3 games to make the WS. Was hoping the Crew would maintain their lead

So I have the opportunity to go to a Phil Collins concert in MSP Sunday night with a friend and his parents. The issue is I would be meeting them in DSM and driving up from there on Sunday, going to the concert and driving back to CR. So the 8 PM concert start with a minimum of 2 hour concert would not have us back until well after 3 AM. A complicating factor is my mom is having thyroid cancer surgery late morning on Monday as well so I need to be there for that. I want to go but feel like that is a bit too much in a short period of time.
I'm not going to give any advice because you can make things work either way. I am going to say good luck to your mom. My prayers are with you all.

As far as talking about her on RTT goes, either Wxette or SaraV's suggestion of Raindrop for a name both sound good. Raindrop made me smile though.

Mom comes first.
Phil Collins sucks.
Easy decision

Got my feedback from the Dean's visit to observe class. It looks like my normal observation as well as my cover letter. His conclusion (quoted without my name so I can pretend I'm anonymous):
Prof. CycloneErik is most knowledgeable, passionate about his discipline, and dedicated to his students learning. He is engaging, stimulating, witty, and humorous. In short, Prof. CycloneErik is an outstanding teacher who cares about his students' learning and they respond accordingly. Excellent!"

So, that's the norm. I'm wondering now WTF they haven't contacted me about spring. They filled in the course calendar after this. Frankly, I am everything that schools are theoretically supposed to fall over themselves to hire, and I'm just scrambling to get interviews, pay rent, and dream of a day where I have, like, benefits and stuff.
I'm happy to see the good report, which I expected, but it seems like it should amount to more.

Maybe it's because you're knowledgeable about history but are teaching a math course.

Seriously though, if you keep getting those reviews, you won't be waiting much longer. I'm assuming this is a bit like in the business world where you usually need experience and teaching this course is you gaining experience.
