Don't let your kids hang with their cousins (if they have kids) cause when they grow up the cousins will be trying to leech off of them.

No kids yet and it will be a while before they do (lets hope). My guess is LittleWx willbe at least 5 if not older before he has any cousins.

Sidenote. A year later and I have yet been able to come up with a good nickname for our daughter.

Just found out a friend of mine from high schools brother passed away unexpectedly. Life shouldn't be taken for granted.

Sorry to hear this....I had a childhood buddy die this past spring Wasn't ever totally close to him but definitely someone who I'd hung out with plenty.

It'd probably been easily 5 years since I'd seen him but the news was still devastating.

You rarely have the kinds of connections in life like you did with people you've known your whole life.

I used to despise Sweet Caroline for being played after the 3rd quarter. I LOVE that they now play it seconds after the game now if we win. ISU finally figured it out.

Going tot he store should i get chunky or smooth peanut butter, I like both equally.

Most interesting thing I saw last weekend was a bra in the back seat of a car as I walked into the gas station Sat. afternoon. Bout gave the dude sitting in the car a thumbs up but refrained.

So I have the opportunity to go to a Phil Collins concert in MSP Sunday night with a friend and his parents. The issue is I would be meeting them in DSM and driving up from there on Sunday, going to the concert and driving back to CR. So the 8 PM concert start with a minimum of 2 hour concert would not have us back until well after 3 AM. A complicating factor is my mom is having thyroid cancer surgery late morning on Monday as well so I need to be there for that. I want to go but feel like that is a bit too much in a short period of time.

Already missing work correct? You can catch a nap during Mom's surgery and still be in pretty good shape by the time she comes out.

More importantly I wish your Mom well on a safe surgery and a full recovery.
