I have a premium first world problem.

For being the one that sold the most fixtures out of store, I received a $100 Visa gift card. I have NO CLUE what to spend it on. Going through wants/needs right now, and coming up bupkis. (Needs I'm coming up with are way more than $100)

I quit drying my shirts a couple of yrs ago doesn't take long to air dry usually. Pants and underwear are basically the only things that go thru the dryer.

We air dry dress clothes and a few other things. Everything else goes in the dryer. In KS i tried to get her to use a clothes line outside and that lasted about a week.

Well, if you run out of ideas I could sure think of a few. (For me, that is. :D)

Just after putting this up I realized I have a few brain cells and only the washer is broken so I can take things home to dry...

Update....I apparently don't have many brain cells. On the last load the dryer was making a bunch of noise but I just thought it was the dryer balls. Well our daughter woke up as we were going to bed and was being fussy and I still heard the dryer going...1.5 hours after I started it. SO I checked it out and upon opening quickly realized that I had forgotten that for some dumb reason (lack of brain cells) I had left the big container of detergent pod things buried in the clothes dumped the whole thing in. Quickly rummaged through and didn't see any damage to clothes and it didn't smell bad so I just closed it and went to bed...

Oh and...**** IOWA!!!

FYI, when we bought our new washing machine, I was here when the delivery guys (who also repair..ma/pop store) showed up. They said that the pods are the worst thing ever invented for washing machines. They said that a good portion of their calls are for the washing machine pump not working. They show up and a big ball of plastic is jammed in the lines or pump. Said that very few peoples water is hot enough to fully melt the plastic (especially when a couple cold loads are ran). We now use liquid in everything. We were getting new (higher end) dishwashers every 3 years, for pump and drain reasons. Will see if using liquid detergent helps.

Now have an advertisement for those "old time" diamond shaped clothesline from The Clothesline Shop LLC.

My parents have a clothesline, and my mom uses it as much as she can. Usually, when hanging underwear, she'd just take one clothespin and attach it to the line by the waistband. Us girls were gone for a weekend to visit my grandma, and come back to see my dad had hung the underwear using one clothespin...but by the crotch.

A few weeks ago, I was picking on my teenage daughter by calling her generation the Tide Pod generation. She doesn't like this very much when I say it. She then went on to admit that one of her friends put a Tide Pod in his mouth. It evidently started to dissolve almost immediately and he spit it out. Yes, he tried a Tide Pod. By the way, his ACT score was 36.
