Sooooooo...My saying of the week "I for one welcome our new overlords".
Do you know where that phrase originated?

Yeah - different ones take different items. I think it's kind of hit & miss, depending on what kind of stuff they can move. You may want to check that first. I'm pretty sure that Goodwill hasn't taken typewriters and VHS tapes for some time now.
Of course every one might be a little different in that.
I kind of want a cheap VCR. Mrs. Velo has pretty much every Disney animated feature released prior to 1990 on VHS and it would be nice if they could be watched rather than just gathering dust.

It's scary to me that I'm in the 2%.I have a task at work that involves a benefit related to Cobra . . . and this one guy keeps leaving me messages and emails asking about "his COBRA enrollment" and "his COBRA benefits"
All I can think of is that he must be joining COBRA Commander, Destro, etc.
I mean, they are a terrorist organization who's goal is to take over the world, but man, they have good insurance!!!

(unfortunately, 98% of my coworkers are either too young or too old to get the reference . . .)
Not a clue but I will be using it a lot at work over the next few weeks.
OMG. Chris Pine's dad is in that movie.
"taped" is easier than "videoed" or "recorded" or "downloaded". I think it's a part of the lexicon that will take a long time to die out.
Yes - I say "taped".![]()

They're discussing having my upcoming project in Houston instead of Phoenix....
As someone who has now lived in Houston for 6 months...
Yeah. I gotta agree with you there. If it weren't the project ( $600m bridge) that I'm working on I can think of zero reasons to live in this city.
Oh, it is the schlockiest of schlocky.First thing I saw was Joan Collins, and thought, "This should probably be a schlocky movie." Then I saw Bert Gordon directed, and I knew it was schlock.
I liked Naked Jungle with Charleton Heston. Army Ants attack.
Put a clothes line upAt parents doing our laundry since our washer is broken. So far I am getting anxiety from not having a countdown timer and ran the dryer for an hour before realizing it is on some cool setting and the clothes were not dry.
