Parents of human children.........how bad are the first round of shots? Baby CG has his a day before a two day work thing I'd like to try and attend. But I've heard the shots can make baby sad and fussy. Also to sleep poorly. DH could handle it but I don't know that I could, lol. Called to reschedule shots and no availability until November which is way too late.

CG and vaccines.....uh oh ;)

Not sure when I was a baby, but when I was young, I was one that needed 2 or 3 nurses to hold me down. Not sure why I was freaking out, didnt hurt.

Hope that helps. ;)

Just walk around campus and that is obvious.
I don't think everyone at college has a high IQ. I actually think lots of kids are "forced" to go but would be better suited for a different career path or trade school. Not saying tradespeople have low IQ but just saying the opposite of your take of everyone at college is smart.

Im not saying everyone at college is smart. Just saying, from my observation in AnSci, most kids with straight A's, I would never want an animal of mine to he touched or cared for by them.

And dont get me started on Engineers.....;)

She’s in the bed, I’m in the chair. Her Dr takes Fridays off. NP actually. And with that, the other ones are always a day or two out. She said she wanted seen today. So here we are. She’s sleeping.
Ah. I guess I've been lucky in that they have always managed to squeeze me in for something like that, where it's a urinalysis and a prescription. Only time I had to do the emergency route was when it started Friday night on a camping trip and by Sunday I was ready to kill something.

Sometimes they just bill urgent care (this doctor likes me so I get it occasionally).

Pods work in my dishwasher (which has pretty good heat), but I won't use them in the washing machine. I still wash clothes the way Mama taught me - start the water filling, add the powdered detergent and let it dissolve, add clothes.

Same here. Pods for my dishwasher, liquid detergent for my washing machine. (Detergent, water, clothes in that order) The dishwasher runs hot enough, I believe, to dissolve all the plastic. Although, I certainly understand thr concern.

I remember the Hulk strength that was imbibed in me when I had to receive 4-5 shots of local anesthesia for surgery on my foot at 6 yo. I think my mom had my left arm, doctor had my left leg/foot while they injected the area, and a nurse had my right arm and leg. I was NOT happy.

Love my mom, and I do this because that’s what I feel I should do, but it would be nice if my sister would help a bit. They were always surprised when I said I got 4-6 calls daily. They got weekly calls if that.

With mom 87, I know time is short. I also know the MIL is nearing health concerns. I am already preparing the wife to know what is coming and her brother can help since he lives nearby and he has always been her parents favorite.

@cowgirl836 They are upset. We learned to either give Tylenol just before the visit or offer after. It seemed to help stem the pain. Most likely cries and will be really tired.

Anyone got any good bet ideas between coworkers?

One of my coworkers is an Iowa alumni and we make a bet every year. It's been pretty tame like free lunch or wear the other jersey for a day or something like that.

Any ideas what we could do for this year?
