Not exactly sure.
Sounds like you’re dating 19 year olds.

I certainly don’t think I’m feminist, but I try to respect their wishes. Generally it will go something like:

Waiter: one check or two
Me: One is fine
Her: no I can pay for myself
Me: it’s ok, I can get it
Her: I insist
Me: ok, but let me get the tip (or coffee afterward or whatever)

That said, I think I’ve been on a total of two dates where it’s even been an issue that I paid. Honestly, I kind of feel like that’s a sign that they’re not that really into you or the date of they’re arguing about paying.

If I reentered the dating world for some reason. This would be my response. I can’t really see myself dating again.

Waiter: one or two?
Me: I have it
Her: no, I can pay for mine
Me: sounds good to me.

My gf and I were friends before we started dating so I think that helped with the awkward check dance. Also we worked the exact same job so we just kind of went every other check picking it up. Though I'm better with money so I may have picked up more like 60/40... So she could pay her bills and ****.

She had to even pay to ****?! Damn, that’s a rough landlord.

Two thoughts:
1. That moment in the Avengers that they showed a billion times in the commercials, where the team forms up, is still awesome.

2. A student went into our classes shared spreadsheet, where they sign up for different contributions (academic, not financial) to the class to check something. I happened to have it open just in time to see her copy and paste something from her math class right over the link she needed, then over another cell, and for some reason for about a dozen more, well past the three columns I bothered to use.
I wanted to shout and the screen "STOP COPYING AND PASTING! THERE'S NO NEED FOR THAT!!!!" But I fixed the link instead, she undid the rest of her onslaught, and life went on until I pick on her tomorrow.

How many minutes need to pass before we’re clear of rainfall for a day? I’d settle for no rain for a regular football game length. Sheesh.

What happened to GR8? Did he decide to try to hit Taco Tico when the game was canceled and get hurt or something? I can't believe he hasn't posted in a **** Iowa thread!
There's a **** Iowa thread? I didn't see one yesterday. Time to get to work.

Edit: I had looked in football, not ISR

Family get together was not too bad. Don't blame the messenger but if this tropical storm comes up this way we could be in for another long day Saturday...

This Saturday we have our yearly ride to York Ne, for dinner at the Chances Are and a night of telling the same old stories sitting at the back of a hotel drinking. So far the forecast is rain, rain and more rain.

Somehow couldn't find time in between rains to mow the yard, now it looks like the Everglades. Hopefully it will hold off today so I can get it done after work....

Spent Sunday at the in-laws, trimming shrubs, weeding, edging sidewalks and driveway, etc while the vixen put the basement back together after their water heater sprung a leak and flooded everything. So we did our good deed for the week. Of course the FIL grilled chicken for all of us afterward, and MIL made apple pie. So fringe benefits.
