Usually I have pretty good luck with deliveries (packages, not babies). I had been stalking a package because it was supposedly 2 day delivery through ShopRunner. Ordered on the 13th and by the 18th it was still in Chicago. Yesterday was hubby’s birthday so I was hoping it would be here before he left on his trip. I was coming home about 10:45 and saw a Fed Ex van leaving our street but no package. Later I checked on the tracking and it said “Delivered 10:41am”. No package outside my house. Decided to walk down to the neighbor’s house. Found my package. That rarely happens—our house number is pretty easy to see even from the street. We haven’t technically met the neighbors even though they have lived there for a year. I think they are gone for an extended period of time—they are both professors at ISU and I think from China. Anyway, took my package from their front step. Later I check the mail and half our mail is a different neighbor’s mail. We wonder how much of ours gets delivered to other people, happens quite frequently.

On another note, I ordered something from Target at noon on Monday and it was on my doorstep yesterday early evening.
Better than the tracking saying it's delivered when it really wasn't. It appeared the next day. I have a community mailbox too. Regular lady never messes up, but the substitute and weekend ones do all the time.

I get mail all the time that is intended for City Hall. It's the same house number as mine, but a different road. I'm bewildered how, but it happens far too frequently.

So, Shingles are the reason my head and neck have been sore the last few days.
Glad to know, and glad it's simple to fight off.
If you have shingles be prepared for some unending agony for weeks. Where is your rash? I started feeling in my back the day before the rash started to show up. By wednesday when the doctor got me in the rash was from the middle of my back around my right side to the middle of my chest.
It's been over a year and I can still feel it in my back.

Top of my head and back right of the head, just not quite behind the ear.

Did they give you anti viral meds? Because shingles attaches itself to a nerve. Generally one of the main nerves on your torso like I had. In some cases like David Letterman it attached itself to the optic nerve. If you really want to be grossed out you can google images of shingles on face.

They did. We're all hoping to avoid the face, but I'm not googling that. I'm good without seeing it.

For my birthday, somebody gave me a bottle of Jameson aged in an IPA cask. It sounds like heaven to me but I still haven't tried it. Has anybody tried it?

No, but Jameson is what convinced me that the Irish make the best whiskey. (Canadians are a close second - that's where are the illegal stuff came from during Prohibition.)

It wasn't from Kentucky or Tennessee? You don't know how disappointed I am to have this stereotype blown apart.
