Not exactly sure.
If you are in a tight spot with people, it seems rude to have Facebook or Snapchat type videos playing with volume loud. Drives me crazy.

There's this young guy I know that is always an accident waiting to happen. Just saw him, black eye and scrapes down the side of his face. He was cutting a cast iron pipe with an industrial sawzall. His hair got sucked into it and just yanked his face into it. I told him he's lucky that's all that happen and told him to wear a ponytail at work.

Onion questions:

1) How deep do you cut green onions when you need them. I generally cut and when I get to the skin part that doesn't cut well, I will kinda cut and pull the core out in that area. Otherwise it seems like it get an inch or a little more if I just cut the white part. I think I'm wasting a lot so I try to basically find more in the onion.

2) Why does every salad or main entree that my wife asks if I can make or help with, involves me chopping onions for some reason. Green onions are not bad, its when the recipe calls for a cup of chopped onions that is rough. Especially when I have to use this chopper thing that seems to pull all the toxic fumes right out of the onion.

3) I like onions on sandwiches but I prefer the purple onions that places like subway use. If I have to grab something from Caseys or eat at many small town diners, they slap a whole slab of white onion on their burgers, subs or whatever. I taste that stuff for a week. Are there any onions out there that don't make you taste them forever? The purple onions seem to die off after the next meal.

The purple ones are Bermuda onions, Another really mild onion is the Vadalia onion, harder to find but really good probably my favorite onion.

I expected much more when I tried Vidalia onions. I prefer white

With the Vidalia sometimes I just slice them add some butter salt and pepper and either cook them on the grill or in the microwave. Really like them if I make homemade onion rings. But they are super mild compared to white or yellows.

Airports are really bad for that. I mean really, have you people never heard of ear buds???

I've decided if someone has to play their music or video, etc. on speaker it's just one more thing people do to garner attention.

Cases of polio are so rare in the US that is out of sight, out of mind. We old farts, when we were children, knew adults that had polio were scared to death of it.

Have a friend (much older but would be in service orgs with him) who had polio. Talked about being in the iron lung and making it through. You wouldn’t know he had it. I told him that had to be the toughest thing ever. He said, no I served in Vietnam. The worst that ever happened to me was coming home and having people spit at me and a three year old throwing their popcorn at me for something I had no choice in (drafted). Kid was getting hate fed to him from his folks already.

Through all this, he never became bitter or resentful, he became a HS superintendent and an unbelievable person. I may have more respect for this man than anybody else I ever worked around.
