Not exactly sure.
From the (biased) sources I’ve seen on twitter, it essentially came down to a very questionable call?

The 197 match was probably what they meant. Refs said iowa guy reversed our guy and didn’t give ours a reversal or at minimum an escape. A reversal and we win. An escape and it goes overtime. My son thought nothing at all should have been called which meant we win. There was also wonder if near fall points should have been called. If in position our guy should have gotten a two call for two points.

Welp looks like winters icy grip has fully embraced the area for now. Driving back after work was one of the few times in a long time that I've had to quick brake because the road just disappeared in front of me. The braking was no problem because their was nobody else on the road.

Out at work we had about 10 minutes worth of dipping dots ice cream style snow. Those little buggers stung when they hit your face.

That cold rain early yesterday morning was no fun. Big drops, and the wind was blowing the water directly into my right ear as I walked into work. 'Twas not a pleasant experience.

We got a few inches of the wet heavy stuff. I guess the main roads are somewhat decent. They haven't touched residential

Wind is gusty to 36 mph here. NWS still only call that "breezy", I call it windy. Glad we didn't get that much snow.

Alright, so the charter bus starts in Minny with Boxster, jc, and Velo. Stop in Mason City for BC and NW. (Oh! And cmjh) Stop in Ames for KC & Lew, Erik, Rev, & Z, & Birdy. Stop in DSM for myself...wxman may have to drive and meet us here. (CG and chaser may have a longer drive) Gr8 can meet us in Kansas City if he likes. GTO and 2015 are picked up as we drive through Dallas. (Where does Lawman live? I have completely forgotten)

That's the plan for the RTT trip to San Antonion.

Edit: Ehhhh...I'm leaving it.

I can get my hands on a cheap bus for the run. Used in bus races. May have windows and for sure seats. Not sure if street legal but who stops a school bus?

We took family pics today as the snow was starting. Little man missed his nap, hates wind in his face and still gave lots of smiles. We moved inside after 15 minutes though. We'll see how they turn out but it definitely wasn't ideal weather! Now I've got a little napping baby next to me. My favorite :)

@jcyclonee always says I live in Council Bluffs so you can go with that for purposes of public consumption. I'll hop on the bus in Des Moines as well.

@ImJustKCClone which one of your beloved universities are you cheering for in this bowl game?
My son asked the same thing.
My feeling is that I was in Pullman from 1973 to 1979. I've been here since 1983, and from 1984 to 2017 I worked for ISU. I have some loyaties to Wazzu, and I will always root for them in the Apple Bowl, but I'm a Cyclone now, not a Coug. If we go (and we are tossing around the idea), I will be in cardinal and gold, not crimson and gray.

Edit - fun fact - both of my boys were born at Pullman Memorial Hospital.

@cyrocksmypants KC may say she's a cougar, but not a WSU cougar.

I'm in, I've got a hotel and ticket.

Just trying to figure out either a flight or drive down. Between the cost of the rental, gas and a couple of extra hotel stays a rental would probably cost about $600-$700 and then I imagine about $50 in parking for a couple nights. Of course with airfare comes Uber and/or taxis

I'm deciding what we will do. I booked a non riverwalk hotel just incase for a couple days. We will drive if we go. Flight would be crazy expensive if we could find five tickets on the same one.

If you stay on the riverwalk and can get into SA airport. You can walk to everything you would need. The Alamodome is walking distance.
