Same here. Interested in seeing the young blood will be better than the old ones who didn't go out. About 2 months ago, the HC said he was looking at moving kids. So I did what's I had never done without being asked. I suggested moving a couple girls around. The last move consisted of moving the starting SS to OF and my daughter from 3rd to short. Reasons given for each move, with my daughter moving because although she's young, there isn't one who knows the game better than her and has an arm to rope it anywhere on the field. In the meantime my son starts dating the SS, so I didn't mention it again. All but one move, the coaches ended up doing. (Daughter went to short did happen).

Well, due to continued shoulder issues, she got moved to second for tonight. The second baseman switched with her. A 3-4 year whiny starter who wants to lead, but no one will follow because she isn't a leader.

This could get interesting.

We have some suggested moves, but we will see how things play out. Our one lone senior has had double hip surgery so he is not mobile at all. They stick her at 1st because that is about the only position she can play. Her parents don’t like the coach anyway, they wish their daughter had not gone out. We are very thin in the pitching staff, our strategy will be to switch them out often. Not sure how that will go. There are some girls playing JV that I can already hear their parents in the stands, “Why isn’t my precious, oh-so-talented daughter on varsity?!”

We will have that problem with the eighth grade parents. Last year I even had a player run up and talk to me about my daughter playing varsity. Her and the other patents thought I would salivate at it. For the first half or so, I told them it's best for her to play JV and that she wasn't ready. Honestly, it was the worst attitude in a group I had ever seen and wanted her nowhere near it. I was fine when she started batting because she would be away from the rotten apples for at least half the time. Let her build confidence on JV also.

She will be the emergency pitcher if one inning or is needed. Coaches also realized that by her playing, they can switch around players and by not pulling the main pitcher, still have access to her if she just needed an inking rest.

@cowgirl836, I am feeling your pain. In fact, I think we should discuss who on RTT has the biggest dickhead for a boss. What sucks is that management doesn't seem to see what a ********* they have running their company branch.

I'm fairly certain the one I left "trumps" all the other bosses. :)

My boss has his faults but is fairly good. He let's me run my little corner of the world without much interference and gives me advice or assistance when I ask for it. Mrs. Velo's boss would likely give your boss a run for his/her money. But hey, Auntie, YOU ARE RETIRED! :)

We celebrated our 18th wedding anniversary yesterday by not getting each other gifts, seeing Deadpool 2 and going to the grocery store. Who says romance is dead?

Around 10 pm, I jokingly told my wife that we forgot to announce our anniversary on Facebook how much we love each other to get likes. She said "I should post 'Happy 18th Anniversary to my loving husband. It's been a wonderful 3 years by your side'
