Well friends visitation was pretty well attended. Wish I could make funeral tomorrow but work interferes.

It would be nice to have a dry spell here pretty soon, but can't change what the weather is doing.

People are the worst. Especially on Facebook.

I've been trying to privately sell my Chevy Traverse for a few months now that I've bought a different vehicle. I've had it listed on Facebook Marketplace, Craigslist, and Cars.com. I've probably had 25 people message me about it, all on Facebook. No other hits besides spam "Is your car still for sale, call me now!" texts from the Craigslist posts. Maybe half of them ever respond after the first "Is this still available?" auto send message that Facebook lets them one tap and send (don't get me started on how dumb this is).

I had a couple people seemingly very interested a month or so ago, but I had to leave town for the weekend and then when I got back they said they were no longer interested or bought a different vehicle. Not much other serious interest until today, a guy told me he wanted to meet me tomorrow at my bank to look at it and then complete the sale there if he wanted to buy it and avoid two trips to the town I live in (Facebook stalking makes me believe he lives about 45 minutes away). Meanwhile, a 2nd person asks if they can meet tomorrow evening to look at the car. Of course I inform them of Guy #1, who is scheduled to meet me tomorrow at 11 am, and told them I'd let them know if it gets sold, otherwise we agreed to meet at the local Hobby Lobby for him to look at it. Guy #1 then asks for my phone number and then asks to call around 6 pm. I told him I had to work a little late tonight and 8 pm would work for me. He saw the message but never responded. 8 pm comes and goes and I sent him another message around 9:30 pm giving him more information about what we'll need to do if he wants to buy it and asking if he still wants to call and if he still wants to meet tomorrow at my bank. No response.

People.

Selling cars privately has always had a high PITA factor for me. I guess that's why I usually run them till they die then take scrap price for them.

Pretty crazy that we can't find one decent person to hire, and yet some of our peeps here on RTT are still looking. I understand that in many cases, the types of jobs RTT'ers are looking for will be specialized, and not numerous. But all I hear around town is that "anyone worth hiring is already working".

Not exactly sure.
Son is taking business classes through the "hub". What that means is the local community college has people teach their classes at a HS. Son has to go to neighboring HS to take these. Will almost be a sophomore when he graduates HS (pending he passes these).

I started looking at these, I read the explanations and compared them to when I went to ISU and when I lectured some at Waldorf. My first thought was, these are kinda junk worthless business classes. Not sure how they would transfer to a business school, especially Ag Bus if he does that. Went to orientation the other night with him. Apparently these are exactly Iowa business classes, what they have their freshmen take. Honestly, I don't see a whole lot of value in these.

I haven't been around (here) enough to know. Where are you and what's the job? You never know when someone who knows someone....

I don't know if it's kids that are just doing something to waste your time or what. I had some guy text me that he was on his way to pick up a free couch and never showed up and didn't respond to any other text. Fortunately that weekend a woman actually showed up for it.
