Anybody else came on here to post a mini vent and after typing it and reading it (I try to read everything I type twice to make sure it's not off) you just delete it because you feel better after typing it.
I usually delete it not because I feel better about it. I just decide no one really needs or cares to see it.

I wonder if the hawk trolls would thin out if people just quit responding to them? I keep clicking on those threads but most of the time it's so mindless I just want to scrub my brain with sandpaper to clear it of what I read. I expect some of them around during ISU-Ia game week but damn every week with the most asinine subjects gets be old . I know the solution is to not click on the threads but it's so hard not to.

Also interesting is to "ignore list" them all. It turns those threads into a CyTwins soliloquy.

Hawk trolls love to rub in the record of ISU vs Iowa in football as if Cyclone fans aren't fully of it. How could we forget it? They have to come here and remind us every day.

I used to go to the B1G basketball is in a no-good place thread for comic relief, but it got so repetitious and sophomoric I had to quit. The range of topics in here, and the (mostly) clever posts are like a tonic to me.

This is what I imagine SCyclone's checklist for clever vs. unclever posts looks like.

I used to do that when I was working when someone would really PMO. I'd let it all go in an email including every nasty thing I really wanted to say. Save it as draft. Then a day or two later either pick out the pertinent points, clean it up, and send it, or just delete the whole thing.

Just remember, SAVE DRAFT, not send. Or just put your own addy in the TO box just in case for the draft.

Got up for my old normal 6:15 AM workout group for the first time in a few weeks, and my first full cardio day in a couple weeks.

Nice to be back to normal and see energy levels increasing even more. Since getting home, had a nice breakfast, a good shower, moved half the basement and living room, and Z is borderline winded.

Tomorrow night: Start training for the 5k on DSM Marathon weekend, since the marathon and half are way beyond reach at the moment.

Also we stopped at the Honda dealership yesterday to see what they had on the lot in person. Looking into the 2018 Odysseys that they had and MrsWx complains about the size of the touch screen display and "does the gear shifting really need to be buttons?". These truly are rough times in our relationship especially after my response of "BUT BUTTONS!!!"

My lack of emotions prevents me from getting frustrated with them, so that probably doesn't help, as I'll keep trudging forward.

Also, I love when they tell us we suck at football. Yeah, thanks for the news flash, Wolf Blitzer. We're well aware of it. It's not an insult if we know and admit it. I honestly wish more ISU people would just give that response when Hawk trolls say it. It would probably blow their feeble minds.

Nope, they just start their own thread and have a circle jerkfest.

Also interesting is to "ignore list" them all. It turns those threads into a CyTwins soliloquy.

Twins is a freaking damn hero. Lots of people just let him deal with those trolls. CF ought to pay the guy if they won't get some balls and ban some of that garbage. Are the site hits really worth it? I think they lose a lot of people because of it too.

My husband has a good habit he passed on to me. He always writes an email and reviews it before filling in an address.

They don't bother me because I know I'm a general ahole and relish in spreading my love around.

Maybe each response should be this

So I decided to pull the p-trap out from under the sink in the master bath, because it had been draining very slowly. It was the old style chromed steel drain, and there was some corrosion at the fittings. Long story short, I ended up having to sawzall the drain pipe apart, and run to the store to get a new (PVC) trap. And you wouldn't believe the mess I found in there.....

Suffice it to say I know now why you don't see plumbers chewing their fingernails. I'm glad I know enough to do little home repairs like this, but some of these are just.......ugh.

New pvc traps 100x>than old metal ones. And "thanks" for the reminder for a little task I need to do at my parental units old house. Before my mother went into the nursing home she put her wedding band somewhere. Sister has her wedding ring but not the band. House is pretty empty and everything has been gone through. Boxster has opined that maybe it got knocked into the kitchen sink and is in the p-trap. Mother had macular degeneration and was legally blind for years. That p-trap that was put in 50 years ago. o_O Have tools, will travel.

I delete a great number of my posts on CF. Most before I hit "post" but many afterwards since I realize not everyone "gets" Boxster.

With that said my ignore list expanded some this weekend. Man, it's a good thing I don't visit the cave any longer, the sports threads can be bad enough
