My first ever history exam was Kottman.
After Kottman explained that the exams were designed to take 2 hours to complete and we would have about an hour, a girl asked him what we should study, and the guy next to me almost chuckled out loud (he had tipped me off about studying everything). From there:
K: You need to study everything in every one of those books you were supposed to read, everything from those films you were supposed to watch in the library, everything that I have said in every one of my lectures, and everything that I meant to say but never had time to say.
G: Dr. Kottman, Dr. Kottman, that sounds like a lot of information. Can we use our books, or notes, or neighbors. (The panic was strong with her. She was blowing off the class.)
K: (Lowers his eyes) Young lady, if you think you can use your books, notes and neighbors and still answer these questions satisfactorily in the time allotted, you just go ahead and try.
She tried. She didn't take the second exam.
