Random Thoughts VIII: The Ocho

I saw a woman wearing a wisconsin badgers shirt today. There's a group of wisconsin high school exchange students coming over and she's one of the host moms

Also, I've been watching a lot of the European soccer tournament over here. I think it's cool how before pregame and during half they have a short news broadcast. Even if I'm not watching the news at night I'm still able to see what's going on.

Europeans are weird.
 
The old people thread gave me a wide open gate to complain about my in-laws. You guys can't tee that up for me like that.
 
Had to cut down trees and brush around electrical lines. Had a lot of crap on the ground also. Real fun climbing over stuff and having very littl run to drop branches. One tree hung up on an electrical pole and the wire loop they left hanging there. Had to rapidly cut a path for myself so I didn't get lit up or have a tree fall on me. Just as I get over some the tree roles and lands close to where I was. I hate clearing brush mixed with trees.

Power company doesn't come trim around lines for you? They do here for free, but don't do cleanup.

BDK was supposed to hook me up with one of those sweet dishwashing gigs. It's got to be better than working in IT. I swear there are so many things screwed up right now and people keep running to me.
 
When your wife texts you that your son just tried to play in and eat dog poop it is time to go home.
 
I'm watching the US diving trials. They have had some really helpful explanations about why and how some things are done/looked at.
 
I agree. Some are. They have gone around campus and put bike stop signs up, but plenty of riders blow right past those...and if you're making a right turn and they are coming up on the sidewalk beside you, they're not always visible. I've had to hit the breaks more than once. I guess the city streets are tough too?
