Damn, looking at thesouth end of my Minnesota forecast I see you guys in northern Iowa must have really ****** the weather gods off. They just won't leave you alone.

Just don't "pollard" it like the pruning so popular in Europe. Saw these sycamore trees on the Rhine last month. Makes me crazy when I see this and saw it everywhere over there.

Can you please explain this phenomena? Do they think it looks nice or just don't want to pick up leaves?

I love playing ISU. It's definitely a rivalry. Any Iowa fans that say otherwise are simply lying.

And I don't want to make the non conference schedule harder, Iowa isn't Alabama, and shouldn't schedule like they are. I want wins. And if ISU and Miami (OH) give us a better chance to do that then say Arizona State or Tennessee then that's the teams I want on the schedule.

Playing a hard schedule and losing is about as good as **** on a boar.

It has been a LONG time since I heard that phrase. Only, grandpa used bull instead of boar (Texas cattle ranchers vs Iowa hog farmers).

Made me smile.
Thanks!

How does a tree pruned like that even stay alive?

Well, if you butt cut it like that as a mature tree it would not make it. They start these prunes at those knobs when the tree are young and chop it every couple of years. The tree grew to this condition, it was not "cut back" to this shape. It's a weird look I just don't get.
