This must be what Pants feels like. It's only 9:43pm here, but seems like everyone on CF went to bed already.

So I'm not skinny or in shape by any means, however, next to me in the airplane sat a lady that was easily 350-400lbs. I have no idea how she was able to get her butt in the seat, but she was definitely spilling over to my side. Made all 4 hours of my flight that much more uncomfortable, as I was kind of leaning to the side the entire flight. My neck and back are now sore.

Everybody on my FB feed is raving about this little girl on AGT last night. Cowell called her "the next Taylor Swift" and pushed the golden button sending her past all the preliminaries to the main competition.

I must be weird or something...I really didn't think she was that good as a singer. She was cute & giggly-nervous, but her voice was really pinched and I couldn't understand half of the words because she apparently never met a consonant she liked.

Her name was Grace VanderWaal. Anyone else see her?

She was ok, but the other little gal from last week was the one that could sing. Mel B put her thru to the live shows. Can't remember her name.

GTO Stanford swimmer/rapist was cave topic of the day even though it was already being discussed in the Baylor rape threads. If you have time the Prohm podcast was pretty darn good.

Summary from other topics in RTT.

WDSM buy yourself a cheap pair earplugs they last a long time and you'll thank yourself later. I usually just carry a pair in my pocket so I've got them when I need them.

I got to see Warren Zevon in concert at 1st Ave. a long time ago towards the end of his career. It was just him and another person. I really enjoyed it, he played the popular stuff plus some other stuff I didn't know it was a really fun/good show.

Thanks, NDubs! That Stanford swimmer thread needs to be closed. The fact that you have to explain to some people how that guy's actions were wrong makes me sick.

Super jealous.

Zella Day concert yes or no? Twin cities later this summer tickets are under 20 bucks. I'm thinking maybe listened to a couple of her songs liked them probably ok for the price.

DH wears the ear things when mowing for sure. Our mower is pretty loud. He did talk about getting eye things for weedwacking. He'll wear his glasses but said things are still hitting behind his glasses.

I probably should do this after the close calls I have had. While mowing I wear my earbuds so that helps...until I turn up the volume to hear it over the mower.

I usually wear sunglasses that are also safety glasses. Spend a little extra (not the $5/pair) and you can get some decent ones. If he wears glasses all the time then that option is out.

I need to wear ear protection more. I have a couple cases of the foam type. (Did work for them and they let me have the damaged out cases.

I heard it. She was good, and she had her own original song. That made an impact for people. That whole thing about anonymity she had going will resonate with people.

It was Howie Mandel that pushed the gold button. Simon lamented that it wasn't him, but that's just nitpicking for the sake of nitpicking.

I thought she had her rough points from being nervous but overall was good for her age and the fact that she wrote it and was standing there accompanying herself. We will see how well she does from here.

I love my Lasik.
I was about 8.75 like BC. Contacts just get to be a daily pain and whenever you travelled you had to remember to bring your glasses along for the end of the day or you're sitting in a hotel looking at a blur.
I can read casually as long as I have decent light. I keep a pair of glasses in the car for driving at night.

Sure I will need to carry about cheaters at some point but I am so much happier now.

Bought 3 packs of chicken breasts last night at Hy Vee. Got home and got the Weber set up for smoking. Opened the first package of chicken and instantly knew it had turned bad. Checked the other two and they were both bad.

Had to run over to the Bakers by me to buy more chicken breast. At least it was on sale. Got everything in and the temperature steady. Packed up all the bad chicken and ran over to Hy Vee. Was standing waiting at customer service and a woman walks in and looks at me and says "You get bad chicken too?" She was holding a bag with a package of chicken she had just bought. She said she could smell it as soon as she got in the car.

In true Allegiant fashion the inaugural flight from LAX to CID was six hours late yesterday and did not go back out.

I feel bad because I could tell she also felt bad and tried to stay on her side as much as possible.

Could have been worse, she could also have drenched herself in bad perfume. Been there for that one also.

Did I tell about my seatmate on the way to Amsterdam? French guy who ordered a double shot of whiskey and promptly spilled it on himself and a little on me. Since he was French I said "At least it wasn't red wine." Later he ordered another. It's the middle of the night and his head is nodding and he has drank maybe half the drink. I watch his hand go limp as he nods off and he dumps another whiskey on himself.
