My daughter's soccer coach decided to start up a team closer to his house in Missouri. Starting next season, he won't be her coach anymore. He had been coaching some of them for 5+ years so many of them only ever had him as their coach.
The girls had their last practice with him last night, so he gave a little farewell speech. He's a pretty passionate guy and started getting choked up while he was talking to them. On cue, these sweet little eight-year-old girls started giving him grief.
"Coach, are you crying?!"
<giggles>
"Hey, Coach is crying!"
<more giggles>
"There's no crying in soccer!"
<even more giggles>
I felt bad for the guy, but that was equal parts brutal and hilarious.

NBD...just arthritis in the lumbar area of my spine. Makes me walk like a old woman some days. Oh, wait...
It didn't even give me the red x and the only change I could set up was another day some time this week.
I upgraded last night. Took it about an hour and a half. I don't hate it, but haven't messed with it enough to determine if I like it better than 7.
I went from 7 to 8 (not voluntarily). You may not like it better than 7, but it's an improvement over 8.
I had finally figured out work-arounds on 8 so that I could do most of what I wanted to do, so I stalled on 10 because I didn't want to have to go through all that again. I just kept ignoring the demand to update until one day I opened up my laptop and it was in the middle of updating. Took several hours. But honestly, now I feel silly for waiting.
Don't throw 10 out right away, either if it acts up. A fresh install on my laptop worked way better than the upgrade.
My ex worked in that field. She was just an entry-level peon, but she liked the job, just not so much the people she was working with. There is a lot of money to be had in that field.
boy I hope I left my car windows closed this morning. I have a bad feeling that I did not. But don't want to get soaked running out to check.

I'm on my last 50 minutes of work until Tuesday. Of course that means that now is when things are getting stressful. Trying to get something to a client that's been dragging (not due to me) and now of course I can't get anyone I need on the phone to finish it. Client is the type to call wanting something immediately and I have a sick feeling they will call tomorrow. Boss is like hey don't stress on this, we've tried and if it's not done, it's not done. But I'm still stressing.
That does seem sort of backwards and awkward.
