VolleyLlamas suffered their first loss of the year to go to 11-1 in matches and roughly 29-7 in games.

Pour one out for the homies.

Doesn't show up well but thought I needed to prove it was pink shirt day. Last day working with lawyer buddy Steve (in chair).

Nice porn stache Lawman!

Oh, and my sports update...

Ottumwa scored a run in the top of the 7th to lead 1-0 over Urbandale, but Urbandale scored 2 in the bottom of the 7th.

But Roosevelt killed two-time defending champ SEP 10-1 to qualify for state.

Note: My finger/phone kept wanting to type 10-q. Very Calvinball-esque.

I feel REALLY old when someone who was classmates with the "little girls" who grew up next door to me refers to herself as "an older women".

:swoon:

My old moment today was within a conversation, my husband mentioned his youngest brother has known me since he was ten.

 !!!!

That little brother is now 30.

I actually saw the younger one in Target here just last week. I probably haven't seen her in almost 20 years, I didn't realize she lived around here.

Talk about feeling old, we saw on instagram it was Fred and Carol Hoiberg's 20th wedding anniversary today. Married 20 years they have a going to be sophomore in college, a high school senior, and 2 8th graders. When we hit 20 years next year we will have a going to be freshman in high school, a sixth grader, a 1st grader, and a 4yr old. Hubby is the same age as Fred. I know I am definitely one of the "old" moms with a kindergartener come school this year.

Couple of funny things today from my 8-year old:

-We were in the car as I was driving him to VBS this week and a song by Rock Plaza Central came up on my iPod. My son's observation, out of the blue? "That singer sounds like Kermit the Frog". That was it. Didn't say another word during the other 20 minutes of the drive.

-At VBS they played a game of musical chairs and I noticed he was cheating by putting his hand on the chairs as he walks by them. I told him to stop cheating and so did everyone else. He pretty much just kept doing it and keeping a serious face as if he did not hear everyone telling him to stop putting his hands on the chairs. They pretty much had to change the rules towards the end of the game to prevent him from cheating. They had to keep an arm's length away from the chair and even that did not work. They then had to get one of the older kids to stand in the middle and keep their arms outstretched to keep them away from the chairs until the music stopped (since now the other kids had caught on and were starting to use the same tactics). He ended up as runner up. Came running to me after the game and finally cracks a smile and says: "I'm really good at musical chairs. I win all the time when we play it at school." I'm sure he does.

Kinda feeling my chest tightening up and feeling a little overwhelmed knowing I have about three weeks to move from Hawaii to the mainland when it took me almost 5 years of planning to do move from the mainland to Hawaii.
