I think I'm gonna pop the question in a few months on Ms A's birthday. She's put up with me long enough. Now I need to figure out a ring. Blah.

Nice. That engagement sex is great. And I think you've locked down a good one who will keep up the fun stuff after the ring.

boss walks in and says they should clone me. Now I could take that as I'm not moving fast enough but since they were the second person in line to ask me a question/do something for them I'm going to take it as compliment that I'm needed.

Hiphopp, you've earned an updated white uniform avatar. This one took 30 seconds instead of 10 seconds.

Highlight of my vacation day. Sitting at a stop light in my bike ride and my PM pulling up next to me.

Z was tired and wouldn't last for live fireworks, so we watched this.

Those were outstanding, I would love to see a show like that live some time. The best fireworks I ever saw live was when Lacrosse Wi. hosted an event called Thunderfest. so many fireworks went off the lights on the bridge disappeared in the smoke. It smelled so good.

So awhile back I inquired at a family gathering about ISU being the same place for our Thanksgiving trip to Disney. They said if I can find a way there i.e. Uber that should be fine. This will very likely be my only trip to Disney so now do I really blow off a once in lifetime opportunity to watch ISU bball?

Wouldn't there be time to do both? Hoops when games are played and Disney @ other times? Good luck and have fun however it works out.

Yesterdays ride went well, EZ, almost chilly when started, finished in a light mist for about the last mile. Did some concrete work this am. Having a hard time getting enthused for ride tonight heat index 100+, humid as hell.

Two CGs, two rum brooklyns, two dodgeball updates (even better if on different teams)

I like it.

News says pasta not linked to obesity. I shall rejoice and ignore the bit they said about portion size.

It may not match that video, but have you ever checked out the fireworks in Clear Lake? 35 minutes with 3 barges launching. The only I've seen better is DC.

Did not know that thanks for the heads up.

Grr...now I want pasta.

My firework story from MANY years ago...
We were living in Omaha, hubby was working in Lincoln. Having just started at that job, he was the "lucky one" to work on the night of July 4th. So I join him going down to Lincoln, with the intent to see the Lincoln city fireworks after he gets out of work.

2 things...1) Lincoln had JUST passed their law forbidding smoking in any business, and 2) Lancaster County was more lax with their fireworks law than Douglas County. (Where Omaha is)

So we watch the city fireworks, and then have the long and tedious task of getting back to the interstate. We drive by a billboard, barely readable through the blue hazy smoke of professional and amateur fireworks, that read "Enjoy Smoke-Free Lincoln!"
