The Dodgers had a bald eagle circle the field before their game tonight. It was coming back to his handler and decided "nah, I'm outta here" instead. Lol.

Ooooo, that's annoying. A lot of people think I'm an early leaver from gatherings, but I just know how not to overstay my welcome.

I am the same way but it usually is perceived as being a ***** by her family. I was looking forward to relaxing with my wife tonight. Guess not.

Ms A and I were in MTown today with her mom, sister and brother. It was obvious the festivities were winding down. Lunch had been grilled and ate, bags had been played and beer had been drank. It was to the point in the afternoon where the conversation was stale. I got up from the couch, got Ms A's bag and said "got your phone babe? We should prolly get going".

Her mom gave me a dirty look, but oh well. I hate that slowly inching toward the door moment. When it's time to go, it's time to go.

Although I don't know how to handle it when you're not the visitor. I suppose that's prolly why we never have people over besides Hopp. He knows when to exit.

Yeah. They came over in an effort to make it easier on us with LittleWx. Between us girls I use LittleWx as a reason to leave many things.

Oh and thanks for sponsoring the fireworks on 9.2 so we can be in bed before 99% of people get back to their cars.

Gotta have yourself a couple of Little Airbags, they're the perfect get out of jail free card. Oh time for nap, gotta go. Oh he's hungry, we're out. Oh he thinks your potato salad sucks, lates.

Ya gotta milk the kid excuse for as long as you can. Once they get older, they avoid you so they don't have to leave their friends. Then every goodbye comes with a built-in argument.

Oh and one SIL and BIL (the ones that got married last summer) came after dinner and after throwing a short fit have been sitting on the couch by themselves not doing anything.

It sounds like people are setting off fireworks on my back deck. I guess some people didn't get the memo that everyone else set them off last night because they didn't have to wake up this morning and go to work.

My assumption is the type in person who thinks its ok to set off fireworks at 10 on a Monday is also the same type of person who doesn't work a M-F 9-5.

Update...During the fireworks 4 out of 7 people were on their phones (just leave if you don't want to watch), BIL and SIL suddenly got up and left because SIL was being cranky again (wife just admitted she doesn't think they will last) and after the show was done FIL had to ask MIL three times if she was ready to go before she put her phone down and gathered her stuff (meanwhile MrsWx and I are trying to get the last few things done enough to go to bed since who knows when LittleWx will wake up and she has to work tomorrow with the first kid showing up at 7:15) and the other SIL laid on the couch on her phone and acted surprised when we basically asked her to leave because we were going to bed.

Nearly threw something at MrsWx when she said "no problem we enjoy hosting" when they were leaving.
