Usually the objective in that setting is to have fun...and it doesn't sound like you're having a whole lot of fun.

ignorance is bliss and i overthink everything.
it's hard for me to personally have fun when the rules aren't eh same for everyone (the trivia night question) and people who keep score can't add (thus making me question the results). i overthink those and can't just "turn it off."

it's not like i don't realize it. it's the same reason i can't watch a lot of movies - i cannot suspend disbelief.

Eh, not me. I am not dumb but math in my head has always come hard for me. My dad and sister could do all sorts of multiplication/division etc in their heads. Sis was a math major. My brain just isn't wired up that way. I am a long-hand pencil and paper multiplication/division guy. Makes the engineer's role their eyes at me but **** em. They got the math skills but ended up without any human interaction skills for teamwork which is why they were on a team lead by me.

I have 2 master's degrees and a PhD soon. I can do a lot of math in my head, but I much prefer to see numbers written down.
If someone tries to make plans with me by throwing numbers around, it takes only a few seconds before they here "let's write that down." Seeing numbers is better, even for the highly educated.

So Mrs. JCyclonee took the kids out to look at a kitten and now they are leaning towards getting two kittens. That would give us three cats including our 19 pound beast. Can you say crazy cat family?

Good avoidance technique to never invite Boxster over. I am pretty allergic to cats.

Worst thing in the world for me back in the day was going back to some dates apartment and finding she had a bunch of cats.

Is my hypothetical buddy M'town? Then yes, yes I could imagine the fisticuffs...but only if his wife wasn't there. If his wife was there, she'd tell him to simmer down, then he'd run off in a huff. Probably muttering and cursing under his breath as he rides his scooter home with e'rbody passing him honking.

95/100. good memory of past events and knowledge of individual poster. -5 points for thinking i'd run anywhere. it's too hot out.
