Rough basketball tournament yesterday. My son's team lost both games but played really well against two good teams. The second team was pretty rough. One of our kids got an elbow to the forehead and had a large bump almost immediately. My son got kicked in the back of the head. Another kid got kicked by a knee in the chest. Another got crumpled shooting a shot when the player trying to block it, essentially, jumped right on top of him. Another player got outright tackled. At least they called fouls on the last two. I'm usually pretty calm on the sidelines but I was a bit riled up. Anyway, thanks for letting me vent. I'm getting riled up again just thinking about it.

The other team will grow up to play for West Virginia...

Yes, it's not like when you and I are both in the Hilton at the same game where, in that circumstance, we are 1-0.

Or like I told the guys at the table next to me at Sensers yesterday. They were up for the Hoiberg/Timberwolves game that ISUAA promoted. Me to them "Do you realize we are 1-0 when you drive up from Iowa to the Twin Cities and watch the Cyclones at Senser's! You must return for the NCAA games."

Did you go to the Wolves' game last night? The son and I were gong to go but after the rough basketball game and a 2 hour baseball clinic in which it hurt to wear a helmet and he couldn't grip the bat because he'd jammed his thumb during the game we thought it best to just stay in.

No I did not. I almost felt bad because Laura, who set it all up, is awesome. They sold 600 tickets but I am just not interested in either Fred or the Timberwolves. Fred is yesterday, Prohm is our today guy and the NBA sucks. There were quite a few people from Iowa who were going to the Hoiberg thingy at the afternoon gamewatch.

Supreme Court Race primary. You need an ID this time. The "incumbent" got appointed to that spot by our Gov after that person had already announced they were running for the spot. Third time in three years he appointed that person to a higher judgeship.
