I just jumped in this thread, and I get not making any of your top 10 list since I post sporadically but not making the credits in this production is massive oversight. Now I has a sad.

Not many positions (no pun intended) left. Want to be the limo driver?

My boys had this unwritten rule when they were little that they only came down with things on Friday nights. It was a juggle to decide if they could wait or needed to be seen. Parents' dilemma...

Mine like to come down with things right before we are supposed to travel. At least the peds here in Ames is open Sat morning, have taken them in Saturday. Have also had things where I have called urgent care and they are like, "Um, we've not heard of those symptoms together. Better go to the ER"

Baby GTO slept very little last night (as did all of us). Wife sleeping right now before taking him to urgent care. The only one who got some decent sleep was little GTO and he is full of energy now! Skipping church today.

My first born had frequent ear infections, and had a bad habit of first showing the symptoms when we were out of town. Insurance didn't travel very well back then and we would have to spend up front for the office call and the Amoxicillin. Our pediatrician realized that we were pretty adept at recognizing when he had another one (every time we brought him in with a "suspected" ear infection we were right), and he wrote us a prescription for unsuspended Amoxicillin to put in our travel first aid kit. In powdered form it has a long shelf life and doesn't require refrigeration. If we needed to start him on it, all we had to do was add distilled water and shake it up well, then keep it in the cooler.

That pediatrician was also a family friend; he & his wife took care of my 11-month old son for about five days when my mother passed away. I had to fly back home but the plane was an unpressurized puddlejumper...and son had an ear infection (go figure!). Couldn't fly. If you're stressed already, and torn between a sick kid and a deceased parent, it really helps to have a pediatrician like Al. :)

It's all pointless. That is why it's an internet message board. Some people act as if our posts will affect the outcome of games.

No...they probably won't. But doesn't a part of you wonder if the attitude of the early posts on that thread got back to McKay and prompted his ill-advised responses on twitter and to Hines?

Well, I guess my posts are pointless too, then...
The actual discussion on what happened and people trying to get information early on made sense. When it switched to arguing over a possible apology to fans is when it became pointless. Three pages talking about a twitter apology or trying to analyze his tweets is pretty dumb but what is expected from certain cf posters.

Want to do marketing? Okay, marketing it is.

BC can do the commentary. He has the announcing experience. I've always wanted to do key grip.I think I can probably tackle the makeup since nobody else will step up and I have 3 girls living in this house.

Yes, it's not like when you and I are both in the Hilton at the same game where, in that circumstance, we are 1-0.

Or like I told the guys at the table next to me at Sensers yesterday. They were up for the Hoiberg/Timberwolves game that ISUAA promoted. Me to them "Do you realize we are 1-0 when you drive up from Iowa to the Twin Cities and watch the Cyclones at Senser's! You must return for the NCAA games."

Rough basketball tournament yesterday. My son's team lost both games but played really well against two good teams. The second team was pretty rough. One of our kids got an elbow to the forehead and had a large bump almost immediately. My son got kicked in the back of the head. Another kid got kicked by a knee in the chest. Another got crumpled shooting a shot when the player trying to block it, essentially, jumped right on top of him. Another player got outright tackled. At least they called fouls on the last two. I'm usually pretty calm on the sidelines but I was a bit riled up. Anyway, thanks for letting me vent. I'm getting riled up again just thinking about it.
