yes, he talked about one like that above where the bed would be, then two normal ones in like nightstand areas, none on the east (door to rest of house) or south (door to bathroom) and then the west wall would be mostly windows.

my comment was about whether or not we should completely skip the transom window and just do the nightstand type windows on that wall.

brushed nickel is out? What is in then? I like brushed nickel. Sounds like chrome is standard, but I'm not a huge fan of the shininess.

Err...hard to say without an idea what you're thinking, but to me, I'd rather have the transom and nothing full length right next to my bed than I would the other way.

I REALLY have no idea whether brushed nickel is out, I'm a dude that's married and has a 2 and 4 year old for F's sake, I just assumed that because it was in a while ago, it's out now. Ask one of your chick friends.

we aren't eating the lasagna. It's for DH's brother and wife who had a baby last week.

I wish we were though, I love lasagna. We make ours with italian sausage and some cream cheese in it. It's fab. Probably the best "meal" meal that I make. Except I made DH make it. Hey, I said we should go in two weeks, he wanted to go this week. So I got the gifts, he had to make the food.

Yeah, cmjh, she's there.

Nice save.

sorry, north wall is wall with the head of the bed. That's another thought to think about DH was all nay on transom

no body parts tonight. Look at this tin foil DH put on the lasagna. Look at this ****. Look how perfect he made it. Now they'll never believe I made the lasagna. I didn't even know you could make tin foil look so nice.

But okay with the normal windows right next to the bed? Otherwise, why not?

I think because that's what he's used to. We're on the ground floor now (and lower than what our bedroom would be) so I guess we just don't really mind it. I think his idea was that we would keep the two windows on the sides and skip the one above the bed vs the opposite. I think we'd get slightly more light out of the two than the three. I'm more thinking about the installation cost + energy cost of an extra north-facing window.

Oh hey. So much hand shaking, awkward conversations, and forced laughter at this convention

is this an airplane people convention? At dairy convention stuff there is much drinking. I have to say I don't see you as the tie and small talk type.

Cowgirl, you should go with oil rubbed bronze for all fixtures, knobs, hinges, etc. Looks very nice IMO
