Why does school start do early in Iowa? 12 years in MN and we never started before labor day, ever.

Starts just as early in Illinois. Usually the last Monday in August or thereabouts.

There are some schools that are now starting WAY too darn early. I was looking at when Millard schools in the Omaha area started a few years ago, and I want to say their start date was around August 12th or something ridiculous like that.

Me: Yes, I'd like a large cherry Coke, and a large vanilla Fanta please.
*slight pause*
Sonic employee: Ummm...all we have is the orange Fanta.
Me: *after what might have been an audible eyeroll* Uh-huh...and add vanilla to that
Sonic employee: Oh...okay. Do you want vanilla added to the cherry Coke, too?
Me: Noooo...just in the Fanta.

*forehead slap*

Discussed this with my brother one day when he was riding with me.

He has the same make of car as me, but a different model.

He said he often thinks the same thing.

Does your car have a setting to adjust how the volume changes at different speeds? If so, maybe tinker with that, you can hit the right spot.
