Almost stepped on a snake today. I hate snakes - the kind of hate that results a spike in pulse accompanied by screaming running and general panic/mayhem. Then my husband found a smaller snake and at least that one is no long slithering on this earth. I can't believe we moved into this snake-pit town.
I keep telling myself that it is ridiculous that I like insects and spiders and such, but the sight of a snake makes me lose my mind. I psych myself up that the next time I'm going to keep my collective shashizzle together when I see one and then it all goes out the window in a millisecond. -- Last summer a large snake made multiple appearances when I was mowing. I finally had it, gritted my teeth and went after it with the mower. Turns out a big zero-turn John Deere mower can vaporize a snake like that. It was magical.
Ever have a friend offer to set you up on a blind date and decline, then meet the person months later and suddenly regret declining?
When you are standing next to the refrigerator ignoring your five year old child who is repeatedly pushing the water button, and I tell her "xxx, please don't push the water button without a cup under it; you're getting water all over my floor", don't glare at me for correcting my grandchild in my home if you can't be bothered.

Oh, never **** with a grandparent. They're too valuable a resource if you have a little kid. Gotta keep 'em happy.
My loathing and hate for Windstream "high speed" Internet is as thick and hot as lava right now. I impatiently wait for the fiber optic install to be finished so that I can fire them in a most impolite manner.
The new Nintendo DS commercial is so sad. It shows about 5 different scenes of kids playing their DS outside on beautiful days.
I have been watching a lot of Friends episodes lately. Jennifer Aniston spends a good 5 minutes each episode nipping out. Yep
