Okay, so just exactly how many roads must a man walk down before you call him a man?

And don't give me that crap about the wind - I've been in plenty of gusty situations and never heard a damn thing.

It's Bob Dylan: First be glad you can even understand it, and second...the answer that was blowing in the wind probably had something to do with a contact high.

someone in my gym class had his locker broken into, but nothing was stolen, instead the breaking in guy wore the gym clothes and then put them back in the guys locker.

One of my husband's college roommates used to steal his socks, wear them to the gym, then throw them on the floor of their room.

Hamburger's about all it's good for. Look at the ribs, hips, shoulders of a beef breed vs a dairy breed & tell me you aren't going to get more steaks & roasts off the Hereford or Angus than you will off the Holsetin or Guernsey or Jersey.
Nothing against dairy (talking to you, cowgirl!) but they aren't exactly bred for muscle mass & marbling.

:)

Holstein steers will have quite a bit more beef on them than the cows and the quality is identical to Angus. Cull cows are your McDonald's burgers and stuff like canned soups and pet food for the really low quality ones.

That's why I believed the dairy farmer. Low quality beef? Sell it to Mcdonalds.

Holstein steer ground beef is not low quality at all. Its like 95%+ lean. The reason why McDonalds would buy it is because prices for dairy steers are fairly cheap, since they are useless.

I stand corrected. Ah don't know nuffin bout no dairy cows nohow.

I still hate the commercials!

:p

you mean Jersey steers ;) Holstein steers are raised out the same as beef breeds. As long as the meat is graded the same, you'll see Holstein beef wherever "beef" beef is - as long as the buyer isn't asking for a specific breed.

Yeah, Im not really a dairy guy either, I like having some form of a life

Nothing like waking up an hour before your alarm is scheduled to go off and can't get back to sleep.

Hubby makes fun of me for this one, but my family raised beef cattle...specifically Herefords.

The Chik-fil-A commercials bug the heck out of me because the cows that are encouraging you to eat more chicken (and presumably less beef) are Holsteins...a DAIRY breed.

Yes...they just had one on the tv...

This. Along with people who call all bovine "cows". "Look at that bull-cow!"
